This is not a story of heroes.
This is not a story of honorable knights in shining armor, or of dutiful soldiers fighting for a holy cause. This is not the story of men and women, fighting for what they believe. This is not a story that entertains the illusion of choice, or the lie of justice. This is not a story of black and white, nor a story of good and evil.
This is a story of souls, and what they will do to survive.

INFO:
-This game is free-text (no dice, no true stats, just planning and good writing) and based around the video game DARK SOULS brought to us by FromSoftware.
-No prior knowledge of the game is needed, you will be informed of everything you need to know. On that note:
-If you are familiar with the game, making use of meta-knowledge is prohibited.
-This is not a classic game, that requires a GM and a group of players. Everyone in this game will play, even me.
-Though I am still, in part the GM. I will throw obstacles at you when need be, whether in the form of the environment or as enemies. There will be no foul play on my end, however. For the rest of you, this game is survival. For me, it is that and a story.
-This game will not be friendly to those of you with weak hearts, or stomachs. IF you are triggered in a negative way by violence, gore, and other dark themes this is not the game for you.
-This games main genre's are as follows: action, survival, strategy.
-Issues between players, will be dealt with by me. No one else. If the situation calls, I will attempt to let the individuals having the problem talk it out. But be warned, I tolerate drama much less than a lot of people. I will intervene if i need to, and my decision will be final.
-There is no hero here, if you haven't caught that. Nobody is perfect. Your knight isn't just going to suddenly know how to effectively use the exotic curved blade he picked up, nor is your character's prowess so great he can cleave through twenty men and live.
-This is not a game of set in stone morals. This is about survival. Make alliances, friends, sure. But backstabbing, double crossing, murder are all further options available to you.
- Characters will die. I realize some of you put a good amount of work into them, but it's jsut a fact. There is always the hope that they will come back from the grave, however...
Story:
- As each undead pilgrim arrives in Lordran on the wings of the Great Raven, the land's denizens that still remain partially sane hold out hope. Perhaps this day, this man or this woman is the chosen. Perhaps they will kindle the flame, end the curse. But it is all for not. Many die, and many more loose their sanity. Many are led astray. and many fight for their lives, not some delusion of grandeur. Our story begins at Firelink Shrine, the beginning of so many journey's cut short to a brutal end.
Playing The Game:
-Free text means you are free to make your character go wherever and do whatever, or try to anyway. You will run into obstacles, and there is a deal of realism. Your character can just straight up attempt an action, instead of having to rely solely on statistics.
-There are some statistics in this game, but they are used more as a guideline than anything. Let's put it this way: the warrior attempts to pull the stone lever, and after a few minutes of strugging with the heavy thing it gives way and the gate opens. Great. Now, the skinny sorcery student tries to do the same, but the lever does not budge. See what I mean?
-Planning, both out of character and in character is strongly encouraged. This is survival of the fittest, and or the smartest.
-I'm sure I will ad more.
