Forget all your preconceptions of war, of battle-lines clashing in the churned ground. Your mission is to attack before the foe even realises that the war has begun, to strike hard at those vital weaknesses that all armies possess, but that no commander will admit to. Under my tutelage you will learn how to seek out such fragilities and smite them with every weapon at your disposal. Master these duties and I will have nothing more to teach, and you will truly be a Space Marine.
- Sergeant Torias Telion, Ultramarines 10th Company
- Sergeant Torias Telion, Ultramarines 10th Company
In this game, players will form a scout squad from the Raven Guard chapter. Except for the sergeant, this is the first warzone any of your characters have ever been in. You are not fully-fledged battle-brothers yet and in fact are barely out of your teenage years. You are still adjusting to your new bodies and abilities.
Despite your lack of experience, you are still fully trained warriors of the Adeptus Astartes. Your battle skill and equipment alike can rival or best that of even veteran Imperial Guardsman. As members of the Raven Guard chapter, you are experts of stealth, even more than scouts of other chapters.
Over the course of the game, you will be sent on a number of different missions, possibly across different warzones and even different campaigns. It is quite possible that your character may die before their training is complete. If they do not, then those who survive at the end of the game will have finished their training and shall become full Space Marines of the chapter.
