AegisFateIt's time to mop up. Figuratively speaking-- both of us are far too important to do it in the literal sense.

Say, Darko . Would Kostin have access to Garis's spare old gear from the stronghold? Probably should attempt to post something tomorrow evening.

Say, Darko . Would Kostin have access to Garis's spare old gear from the stronghold? Probably should attempt to post something tomorrow evening. Which old gear is that? I don't recall what he left behind, if anything, but if I've forgotten please remind me. And yes, by all means do get a post up! It'd be great to get to know more about Kostin, see him interact with the other characters etc.

Well, assuming that Garris has served the inquisiton for a decade or so i would think he would have left behind some excess shotguns parts and other spare bits and pieces lying around over time in the armoury and his quoters.
I would at least think he had spare gun or three lying around in case it got lost/broken it combat. Seemed that kind of guy.
Edit: altought i probably should stop myself from trying to grab more gear. Poor Kostin has a pretty heavy load already. (It's around 80kg iirc)

I'm speaking with Coolyo about what Garis might have left. In the meantime I wouldn't worry, we can retroactively add any stuff to Kostin's list of armament. But yeah he does already have quite a bit of gear as you say. Any idea what Kostin will do? Maybe start one of the encounters I posted last page, or maybe try to find some of the other characters perhaps.

Dewin You would have access to any of the equipment, uniforms, and gear mentioned here, plus the power sword that Kril gave to Garis.

Unfortunately the power sword was lost along with Garis, I went back and found the passage where he last used it.

So, I'm hoping to update this tomorrow but it's another full day at college so I may be too exhausted. Friday is my day off, so other than being stabbed in the arm with a needle I should be able to throw out events left and right.
In the meantime, let's see some posts from those who aren't in eventlock and as for those who are (and anyone else) let's do a thing again. If you want, PM me something you'd like to see at some point in this game (e.g. a certain kind of setting) and I'll try and add it in somewhere. The vaguer you make it the more likely it is that I can work it into the story in some way.

Character Name: Old Man Zeb Age: late 70s Career: beggar Appearance: short, hunch-backed, wears ragged clothes and his hair little more than strands of grey. Personality: a kind, elderly man who takes pleasure in feeling the sun on his back as he sits in the streets. Equipment: old wooden walking cane. Background: an old beggar, he is typically seen around the centre of The Cove near Katerina's palace, where he survives off of the charity of others. He has been a fixture of The Cove for as long as any can remember, though his true origins are forgotten.
Character Name: Cornelius Jones Age: 33 Career: Severine's aide Appearance: slightly below average height, with neatly-cropped brown hair and brown eyes. Left leg is a bionic of common quality below the knee. Personality: attentive, dutiful, faithful and completely loyal to Severine. Equipment: administrative tools, snub-nosed stub revolver. Background: Cornelius has served as Severine's aide for nearly two decades after she discovered him orphaned on his home planet following an invasion of chaos.
Character Name: Cortez Age: 49 Career: Katerina's second-in-command and chief enforcer Appearance: a fairly tall, broad-shouldered individual with muscle to spare. He wears old military fatigues and flak armour, although it has since been repainted in the colours of Katerina's pirate heraldry. Personality: a quiet and surprisingly softly-spoken man at times, he can be very patient. However, on the streets he has a reputation as a ruthless and violent enforcer - a reputation he's maintained purely out of the need to survive. He possesses reserved ambition and the strength to pursue it. Equipment: flak armour, plasma pistol. Background: most rumours indicate that Cortez was once a member of an Imperial Guard regiment, although which one is a question no one can answered. He has left his past behind and never speaks about it. He's been on Narvus II for at least five years and Katerina's second in command for the last three.
Character Name: Berlyn Age: 34 Career: Bounty Hunter Appearance: hair shaved extremely short, narrow eyes like a bird of prey and a jagged scar across her right cheek. Personality: fiery and merciless, she is also intelligent and a pragmatic survivalist at heart. Equipment: power scimitar, other weapons and tools depending on the job Background: renowned as the deadliest bounty hunter on Narvus II ever since the previous five to carry that reputation got themselves killed trying to take down Katerina, she has supposedly claimed over two-thousand bounties in her career - a fact that the Bounty Hunter Guild does not confirm nor deny. Whatever the truth, she is feared and rightly so as a deadly close-quarters combatant. Nonetheless, the prestige of taking down Katerina has always been attractive and on many occasions that same Pirate Lord has almost openly dared her to try. Berlyn buries her pride and bides her time, not letting her ambition cloud her judgement as it did her predecessors.
Character Name: Captain Oswald Age: 44 Career: Merchant Captain Appearance: a rotund man with a notoriously fat belly, he commonly wears expensive clothes made from fine silks, usually quite colourful to attract attention to his opulence. Personality: an indulgent man quite obsessed with accumulating wealth and twice as good at fulfilling that motivation, he has a sharp wit and a silver tongue. His selfishness and greed are so vast that they could power a small starship. Equipment: two Belasco Duelling pistols Background: Certainly no loyal servant of the Imperium, he is known to enjoy 'cheating the system' wherever possible - hence his illicit dealings with the black market on Narvus II. Some of the darker rumours surrounding how he makes his trade lead a few to view him in a very different, more unscrupulous light. Regardless, his power and wealth have propelled him to local fame and he is one of the richest people in the sector. He Captains a gigantic Universe-class Mass Conveyor. His wealth attracts many people, and some rumours suggest that he bedded the ex-wife of the upstart Captain Schwartz.
Character Name: Captain Schwartz Age: 24 Career: Pirate Captain Appearance: scruffy black hair showing hints of balding and has a face perpetually wreathed in dark stubble, he wears fairly typical spacer garb Personality: often loud, vulgar and reckless, he is nonetheless a skilled leader and experienced combatant despite his young age. He is known for his explosive temper and intense dislike - or as some would say, jealousy - of Captain Oswald. Equipment: Handcannon Background: a relatively young man considering his position, he has yet to abandon the recklessness and impulsiveness of youth. However, those volatile traits are matched with a natural-born talent for leadership and tactics. He is a rising star among pirates, and dreams of one day commanding a Grand Cruiser. In reality he only has a tiny raider - an Iconoclast-class Destroyer. While such a ship is extremely common in pirate fleets due to its simple construction, the fleets of Lord Katerina have attracted the most powerful of pirates and contains an unusually high number of larger vessels. In this way, Schwartz inadvertently possesses one of the smallest and weakest ships in the sub-sector - a fact which older and more dangerous pirate captains have constantly mocked him for. This has only fueled his resentment of them and their hierarchy that leaves him at the bottom.
Character Name: Pirate Lord Katerina Age: 63 Career: Pirate Lord, self-styled empress of Narvus II Appearance: tall and thin with inhumanly long limbs, she moves with an alien grace and speed. Her feline eyes and dagger-like ears mark her as an Eldar beyond any shadow of a doubt. She wears human clothes; a tight-fitting bodysuit riddled with unnecessary spikes and patchwork additions, that both accentuates her figure and is no hindrance to her agility due to the lack of armour. She wears a refractor field device on her belt. She wears a necklace made of five different human finger bones. Personality: hedonistic, sociopath, arrogant - traits that mask her intelligence, cunning and ambition. Most fail to realise that as an Eldar, she is still incredibly young despite her advanced years by human standards. Equipment: Power Discus, Agoniser, refractor field Background: the infamous Pirate Lord of Narvus II; her word is law. She rules from her 'palace' in the heart of The Cove, which in truth was once a gargantuan administratum complex. She demands respect and commands fear, keeping the horde of pirates and other dangerous criminals in check. Under her iron fist, they are a unified force. Interestingly, she speaks with a thick Gothic accent, quite similar to that of a Hive-worlder. She only speaks in Low Gothic, and has never been heard speaking in the alien language of her people. For decades she was a feared pirate captain, claiming numerous prizes and even challenging isolated Navy patrols whenever possible. Now, she has spent the last ten years building up an armada on Narvus II, having killed all of her rivals and replacing them with those who will bend their knee to her reign.
