You could always do what Warrender did in his nations games and have a couple of NPC nations to fill out the numbers. In any case, 3 players means you can spend more time on each of their turn results so that's always good. My optimistic babble aside, I look forward to seeing all of the shenanigans in this game.

Yep, i'm doing NPC states. With these PC numbers i'll probably throw additional 3-5 NPC states into the mix since the map looks pretty barren so far.

Best of luck with that.
...
On other note, I would appreciate if I could get some opinions regarding the current ground troop system.
This is mainly because I fear that that whole point fraction thing alongside OoB system has made it bit too over-encumbered and overly complex.
Since I'm bit too eager to do any quick edits on the system and being this close to launch I would like to get some feedback before doing anything.

The purple scourge should be dealt with. I bet if we all teamed up we could take it on. You guys focus on the attack and I'll stay back to defend our territories.
Ignore the giant Urikian banners being unfurled in your capitals, it's just decoration to make the troops feel at home.

My only thought is that I'm a bit curious how you're going to sort potential new units into your brigade categories. Other than that I'm happy.

In any case, I would think that current Combat/Specialist/Support brigade cost system should be quite flexible for new units, i hope at least. On other note This should be all human factions (both NPC and PC) that the game will have.

So I know you said that research would get us extra slots, how many slots do we get without the research bonus?

coolyo294 halonachos Jack of Names Lord Harrab Well, i did some combat play-testing and it didn't exactly go to plan so unfortunately i'm pulling plan B. I'm going to pretty much scrap the ground force system so now single X is equivalent for single 10k strong division consisting of two brigades picked from one the lists. These brigades must either be combat or specialist no hybrids. Combat: Motorized Mechanised Armoured Specialist: Marines Airborne Additional unit types may be permitted if player wants so. You will also probably notice that there are no units from the support tab. Those units will now no longer part of OoB. Garrison unit will now be automatically generated for each grid and its size will be dependent on zones population and development status. Their numbers can be also be effected by orders as well. Heavy AA will be now part of most divisions as division level detachment and as construction option for zones. Coastal artillery will be just construction option as well. Alongside this, everyone will get a free Special forces regiment for free. This will be off charts as well.
