Forge 2
Ship Name: The "Emperor`s Anvil" Ship Class: Cobra Class Destroyer Ship History: An old war relic from the Salamander fleet, The "Emperor`s Anvil" has served the chapter for over two millennia with esteemed service amongst that fleet. It participated in both the Second and Third Armageddon Wars with two kills and fifteen assists, it also has joined Vulkan He`stan in his search for the great relics. It was eventually retired out of the fleet due to its old age and its tactical value lowering due to a newer model of the Hunter being produced. Early into its career it was upgraded into a Hunter Class Destroyer and served as that class until it was retired and downgraded back to the Cobra class for the Imperial Navy. It maintains the same chassis, but lacks the extra armor and speed of the upgraded Hunter. It also maintains its captain from the Salamander Fleet.
Forge 4 Ship Name: The "Emperor`s Fire" Ship Class: Cobra Class Destroyer Ship History: One of the remaining three from the original Emperor`s Forge squadron, The "Emperor`s Fire" is the twin to the Anvil as they were both built and upgraded at the same time. It served with the Salamanders throughout the second and third Armageddon wars and scored one kill and 20 assists. It also partook in the search with Vulkan He`stan as well. It was retired at the same time as the Anvil and Furnace and underwent the same downgrade as the Anvil. It also, likes its twin, retained its same crew and commander. Ship Quirks: Being so old, the machine spirit and its command crew have served together for 300 years, and therefore fight nearly as one unit instead of multiple, allowing commands to be executed with excellent speed. This unfortunately causes problems with the crews ability to abandon the ship due to their deep bond. The hull of the ship still resembles the Hunter Class Destroyer, but lacks its upgrades. It inspires fear in its enemies, but the trained eye recognizes it is downgraded. So unless I've misunderstood something, you have two space marines in your fleet?

No, even though some ships in the Salamander Fleet are helmed by Salamanders, the more numerous escorts and destroyers were helmed by either wash-outs, serfs trained to command them, or just Imperial Navy captains. Plus the escorts would rarely even have a space marine grace their halls as there was only room for maybe a squad amongst the already cramp ships.
But good point out, I shoulda made mention of that, sorry.

It bugs me that you guys have no light cruiser...so I hope I'm not too late in putting this here. Player Name: Wark Name: Captain Eroch Bullard Appearance: Eroch is unusually large for a Navy man. Even in his old age he is physically imposing and broad shouldered which served him well in his early career. He is a man well into his fifth decade of Naval service and can be distinguished by two different scars from battle that he bears. The first is that he wears a patch over his left eye. He lost the eye decades ago in a boarding action with pirates but has always considered it a mark of honor, more precious to him than any medal, and has eschewed any and all augmentation for it. The second is that his right leg below the knee is augmetic. He lost it after a defensive action against Chaos raiders which saw him continue commanding his stricken vessel even with a shattered leg which later had to be amputated simply because he refused to have it seen to while the battle raged around them. He keeps his hair, silvered with age, combed and oiled back. His uniform, a relic from the old guard of the navy, is a bit flashier than the modern variants; having golden lace sewn around the buttons as well as similarly colored epaulettes with matching tassels. He can usually be found wearing a great black stormcoat around his shoulders which has been secured with a silver brocade. He prefers to keep a bolt pistol and a chainsword, both holdovers from his earlier position, on his belt and carries an autopistol as a back up. History: In short, Eroch's career has been distinguished. His family had a long tradition of serving on navy ships as ratings. Eroch was able to break the mold, however, when he garnered the favor of his commanding officer. He is also noted as having served on the same ship for his entire life; something that not many captains can claim to have done. He began as a provost officer aboard the light cruiser Aquila Impera and through dedication and a driving sense of duty, he was able to progress to the commander of provosts aboard the ship within his first decade of service. Here, he received his nickname of "The Bull" because of the obstinate tenacity he was known for while pursuing his orders. Indeed, many unruly ship ratings quaked with fear when met with the Bull's unwavering glare. It was at this time that he was noted by his ship's captain and earmarked for watching. The two hit it off with their shared experiences and soon enough Eroch was being groomed by the captain for command of the ship, having no real descendants of his own to do so. Then came the fateful day when the captain passed from the mortal plane of men after decades of vaunted service, his last action being to ensure that Eroch would receive his former position. The new captain then went on to pursue his Emperor given duty with the same tenacity he had been known for in the provosts. Never having a family name of worth to call his own, he made one for himself..."Bullard" so that no enemy or ally would forget who they were speaking of or to. He is well loved by the men aboard his ship for his stalwart disposition and the concern he bears for all the people under his command. This has led to the Aquila being requested by several admirals from around the fleet for duties in their squadrons, citing Eroch for his iron clad reliability and steadfast dedication to his duties. Ship Name: The Aquila ImperaShip Class: Dauntless Class Light Cruiser Ship History: The Aquila was salvaged from the site of an ancient void battle in the 38th millennium, therefore there exists no real record of how old she is. Her machine spirit still bears the emotional scars of being destroyed in that battle. As such, the ship's system have been known to "Frenzy" in the heat of battle. Whether this is a result of panic or bloody minded desire for destruction only the captain would know. Ship 'Quirks': The ship has its own mascot; a two headed cyber eagle named "Pax" who has a seat of honor on top of the ship's victory banner which itself sits above and behind the captain's command throne. The position of the bird's keeper is considered near sacred as the bird is both a symbol of the ship and a symbol of the Imperium at large. Therefore the keeper is the only rating aboard the ship allowed on the command deck. There's no deck 32. Measuring the height of the ship, and comparing it with the height of each deck (The enginseer was bored) has revealed that there should be, there's the extra space that would match up with that. There's a deck 32 on the plans... but when ascending from deck 31, you go straight to deck 33. Of course, with that knowledge, "deck 32" is now infamous as a place where missing tools and skiving ratings are meant to have gone.

Two Cruisers, a Light cruiser, and a Escort Squadron, I like the sounds of this small fleet.

Player Name: Ineptus Astartes
Name: Brian Vance
Appearance: Brian Vance wears his hair shortly cropped, only up to a centimeter in length, and is of medium height. He wears a full length coat and dress uniform.
History: Brian Vance, named in terran tradition by his offworld mother, was born the second son the gubernatorial house of Vance on the planet of Tyrethect. He had an unremarkable early life, and considered joining the imperial guard, though he loved reading, learning and the like more than anything, and above all, loved history. He is always quick to smile and make people laugh, and has seen some combat experience, but mostly only with relatively small vessels. However, just recently, he was forced to give up his former cruiser after it became hobbled in battle, and he and some of his senior crew were to be transferred. However, Captain Vance had the bad fortune to be enamored with the sector fleet commander’s daughter, and the fleet commander was none too happy, and assigned Vance and his men to the vessel Bellicose, widely regarded as both one of the most unfortunate and also the most deadly vessels in the fleet. It is commonly referred to as a “nightmare factory” and the Captain is just trying to get used to the disturbed crew, the abhuman sub races, the strange rites, the missing xenos tribes in the bowels of the vessels and the strange quirks of the machine spirit, but has yet to truly prove himself to his disturbing vessel and crew.
Ship Name: Bellicose
Ship Class: Dictator Class Cruiser
Ship History: The Bellicose (or bela, as her captains call her) has a well storied history. First records date as far back as to the age of apostasy. During the subsequent wars, she seemed to somehow grow in size, just slightly, with more fighter bays and weapons configurations than a regular ship of her class. Not only this, but her machine spirit is far more violent than one should suspect of a carrier. The vessel is, as her name suggests, warlike. She has served in crusades, both imperial and black, and has even conducted an exterminates operation once, under command of the inquisition. Wherever she goes, there are tales of strange occurrences and just plain weird things going on.
Ship 'Quirks': Her fighters share a very unique machine spirit, each one is similar to the others, not in personal personality, but in some form of link, similar to the tyranid hive mind. The vessel’s machine spirit too, seems to have an odd fascination with its new captain, and has often taken to stalking him via security devices, becoming more efficient when Vance is seated in the command throne and reacting quite violently to threats against his person. According to the tech-preists, it also possesses somewhat of a jealous and suspicious attitude towards other ships, believing that they may attempt to ‘steal’ it’s captain, and is murderously accurate and vicious in combat when engaged in naval warfare.
The Bellicose is massive for a cruiser of her size, able to carry more fighters and guns than a ship of her class logically should, though all records seem to suggest that it is within the normal bounds of it’s class. In her cavernous insides, the Bellicose maintains multiple ecosystems, with the lowest decks completely filled with water, subaquatic life and strange fish-formed abhumans that also dwell in the massive coolant pipes and can sometimes be seen swimming through them on their way to other parts of the vessel. These abhumans maintain those parts of the vessel that are otherwise difficult for humans to reach, such as coolant pipes and the reactor heat-siphon. The aquatic decks are lit and filled with coral and reef life at their highest level, but the lowest flooded level of the ship is filled with the stygian darkness of the abyss. Above that are decks who are super-heated to the point of where men often bring canteens and go shirtless, and these decks are filled with strange plant growths similar to a jungle, and in several of these decks than men now pass by, several tribes of orks have made their home, and fight inter-tribal wars and are now used as a source of bet and entertainment by the crew. Further up it gets increasingly cooler and temperate, and in the highest levels of the vessel, it is actually so cold that things periodically freeze, though the bridge is kept heated and clean at all times.
The shipboard systems of the vessel seem to be incredibly hostile to boarders, daemons or people the ship just doesn’t seem to like, often flashing bright white lights in boarder’s faces and venting poisonous or irritating gasses, a precaution against which most fleet security wear dark goggles and rebreathers, otherwise known as “Battle Raiment” the full suit of which is also integrated with flak armor, and seen as vaguely holy.
The vermin and life forms on the vessel seem to have had their own evolutionary paths decided for them, and though many put it down to a kroot attack hundreds of years ago, domesticated and wild animals aboard the vessel are all fairly vicious and avian.
The lower crew (ratings) is noted to be composed of different shipboard cultures, depending on from what decks they claim their heritage from, and some even engage in strange international politics, and periodically even warfare. However they all bow to the will of “The High King” otherwise known as the Captain, and treat him as a personal messenger of the Emperor, though most never see his face. These cultures are often related to one’s position. Gunnery crews are of a different standing than reactor room crews and so forth, and each ethnic group has its own ideals. The higher crew and officers rarely attempt to dissuade them of this odd brand of faith. They also all band together in the face of boarding or battle, which is often seen as a form of alien invasion or daemonic incursion, and the Ratings treat their vessel like a planet, and literally believe it to be both alive and a mobile planet. This has disturbed and confused some officers or members of the higher crew. In general, this ship is quite strange.
Many crewers experience strange dreams or visions while aboard this vessel, and some areas are warp-washed and are often used as ‘I dare you” places by the crew.
There are also other issues, unspecified. In short, the vessel is ancient and venerable, but it’s temperament has become quite strange over the years.
Notable crew Tech-Adept Tarvis Hyste. Bo’sun (fighter and bomber commander) Tarquinius Braxim. Second officer David Hastings Gunnery Officer Mors Tynewith. (more to follow)
