Destroyers are generally pretty high on the naval food chain thought so you might consider dropping it down to frigate or corvette class.
On other note, calling dibs on Drone/comm officer role assuming there is space.

I like the idea, but I'd not class it as a destroyer and I'm in two minds about dropping the Centurion Turret. As for the rest EDIT Ninja'd by Dev
Prowler Class Salvage Frigate
Shield Strength: Medium Cargo Space: Medium
Maneuverability: Low
Sensor Strength: High
Fuel: 30 Jumps
Food: 1 Month

Well the Corax was a destroyer, and I figured it was about size that determined class. But regardless, that works out fine.

Ship Class: Jericho Arms ASFV 3000f 'Reaper' Classification: Heavy Destroyer Armament: Five Variable-M Class Multiple Missile Launchers (3 Spinal, 2 Prow), One Dorsal Mounted 'Godkiller' Mass Driver Storage: Low Maneuverability: Medium Sensor Strength: Low Fuel: 35 Jumps Food: One Month
The ASFV 3000f was originally designed and built to undergo naval trials, although by the time the first few prototypes were finished, trials had been concluded and a competing model was accepted. Whilst considered a financial failure by some, due to its high cost of construction (the Godkiller requires large amounts of rare elements in its construction), it was found to be more than acceptable for civilian sale. The most common operators are private military contractors, corporate armies and pirates, although the later primarily being salvaged or bargain bin vessels with significant issues. Vessels in the hands of pirates are often lacking the Mass Driver, the weapon being scrapped and replaced with various other weapons, to increase the vessel's capability.

Alright, well like I said, I`d like to nab the captain role. But I don't want to step on toes as we all will be working together on this, so if someone else would like to be Captain go ahead and say something. I`ll step down if someone else wants it.

Kitty hawk Class escort Carrier Shield Strength: Low Cargo Space: Low Maneuverability: Medium Sensor Strength: High Fuel: 30 Jumps Food: 1 Month Armament, 4x Hailstorm Point defense turrets, (top, both sides, Underside) 2x Titan Torpedo Launchers (bow) Drones: 2x Sentinel Class drones, 2x Interceptor Class Drones, 2x Nightingale class repair drones Flight deck: 2x3 Thor Heavy Gunships, The Kitty hawk is a light cruiser class small fleet carrier formerly in service with the Outer rim republic, during its time in navy service, it performed best in a support role to larger ships, as its poor shield strength and lack of hanger space restricted its ability to lead offensive strike craft waves in large scale operations, but its corvette gunships can tear apart other strike craft and even some frigates if allowed to close the distance and its Torpedoes can keep enemy point defenses occupied. This class of ship was retired ten years ago and the surplus were sold on the open Market This Particular Kitthawk has been further modified , replacing some of its torpedo launchers with a medium drone bay, complete with repair drones from when the shield generators fail and the hull takes damage.

Righto, I opted for a Explorer class with a Pioneer Class Mining Cruiser for the ship. Are you in a position to say what Rank my char will have so I can write up a better background? or will it depend on what everyone chooses first before you'll know?

Are you in a position to say what Rank my char will have so I can write up a better background? or will it depend on what everyone chooses first before you'll know? it will have to depend on what everyone else picks, who the captain is and so forth. These choices arn't permanemt though, once your fleet expands you'll all most likey end up with your own command if you want. EDIT: In other words, you guys need to come up with how and where you met up and why you decided to invest in a ship, your rank structure can come after that. Also, if there's no majority vote on the ship, i'll just pick one.

Well I vote for either the Corax or Thantos, with the pioneer as my third choice. I think that a cross between combat capabilities and salvaging makes the Thantos a good pick for work and money, allowing us to branch into either military or industry. The Corax is straight up military, but it could also allow us to become pirates or bounty hunters. The Pioneer is the mining route, and can allow us into industry potentially military but it is relatively weak. I have a few other ships I want to introduce (if that is fine with you Harrab) but at the same time, I think flexibility is going to be a big factor we should all look at when it comes to the ships.
