Ah, there we go. Cheers mang.
So, what games are currently going down that I could potentially join?

Currently, the only active games are Iron Empires (a nations game which I believe is probably full, it's already an absurd amount of work for Nepty to do) and Shadow War, a 40k Inquisition game I've been running since last December. It will be taking on new players some time in the near future, however it requires that you have a good knowledge of the 40k universe and read the entire IC (in-character) thread.

Oh, I have a very intimate knowledge of 40k, so no worries there. I'll take a look see.
Are there any requirements for people to GM around here? Not that I have anything planned specifically, just curious.

Hmm, no requirements to run? Cool cool, might give it a go in the future then.

Just to be clear, we have two systems for games here. 1) A game goes through a period of relatively thorough planning and pre-preparation in the planning section. When it is ready, it gets an IC thread in the Active RPG section and an OOC thread. RPs are divided by genre in this way. 2) A Play Pen game can be launched at any time, divided by the level of writing skill expected from allowing anyone at all right up to experienced roleplayers who can write multiple paragraphs per post. An OOC thread is optional. However, something to keep in mind is that this community is relatively small and as such it can be very difficult to sustain an RPG. Too many new ideas in a short space of time and everyone falls under the 'shiny effect' whereby they are attracted to new games and forget their old ones before they are finished. I recommend playing in another person's RP before trying to launch your own, however there is nothing restricting you from doing so if you wish.

I've got a fair bit of experience under my belt, at least with TTRPGs, so there shouldn't be a problem with GMing personally. If there's already stuff running/ ready to go however, I'll hold off until things are a bit quieter. Cheers for the swell welcome as well folks

First two replies: Admin, Head Mod"Oh shit, I'm being watched by a space ship and a little girl. Must not set fire to the site's dustbin." Stay away from the dustbins lest ye wind up in them. I hear they have fangs....... Anyhoo, hello and welcome, hope you enjoy your stay on the site. Oh btw, membership costs £10 a month that can be made payable directly to me..... Cas one day I'm going to disembowel you slowly with potato peeler. Also, 'sup new-creature. How's it do?
