"Yeah...sorry to break it to you dude...but World War Two is over. I mean it was exciting but it only lasted for five years." He nodded to the soviets. "Those guys took Berlin and Hiler shot himself. Germany's really, really apologetic these days about how they, you know, killed ten million civilians." The Soviets started clapping and dancing up and down but Trev turned towards them. "Don't start your victory rolls yet buddy. The Soviet union collapsed thirty years ago."

Vlad blinked, dropping Rasputin in his attempts to help his comrade up. The news of the long time lasp did not effect him as much, he had no family after al, but the news of the USSRs downfall was....shocking.
There was a deafening silence, Rechstein clearly did not know what to say, understanding the hurt of the situation but not vexed in the details.
Suddenly, Rasputin was on his feet.
“yes, well, I am glad in this world the germans suffered what they deserved, if in part. The glory of the USSR lived for long it seems, we should be proud for helping with that, all of us. History causes even the greatest nations to collapse.”
there was a silence over the air, every man having learned that their existance had been nulled in one way or another.
Clearing his throat, Rechstein turned to the tau. “yes, well, it seems neither of our empires have yet to even exist. As much as it pains me, I do not think extermination of eachother is...what should be done. There is nothing men of our size can do in this world, no matter how hard we tried.”
another block of silence, before Rasputin spoke up again.
“you germans deserve a death unfitting of any intelligent species, but it seems my vengeance has already been dealt....my families execution has been avenged in my absence.” he tossed his revolver, letting it slide over to the germans feet, giving the disgusting man one last stare before turning to the giant.
“our lives have no more meaning now giant, what, now, would you have us do if not fight?”
coughing, Reichstein piqued up “the tyrainds, no matter how small, as a threat to the existence of every living creature on this planet. From giant to miniature....and we currently left them with plenty of warmth and food, due to the giantess refusing to let the bottom floor burn.....”

"Remind me," said Trevor. "What exactly are Tyranids again?" He had a vague recollection of some sort of bug war.

they are, to be frank, the universes worse infestation." Rechstein said. "they devour all biological matter on a planet, converting it into more of their own, before leaving the lifeless planet for the next one. they recycle all bio matter, so if one does not kill them all, they will merely come back later."

Fireblade, seeing this as an opportunity to seize hostilities smiled. "I agree, neither of us should be here to begin with and albeit we are not of the same race we both have a common cause... staying alive." Fireblade hid the fact that staying alive was something they wanted for different reasons, for a tau only cared about his life because it could be used to further the greater good... what that greater good was though, he was not sure any more.
Silent strike began speaking. "I would like to suggest a treaty of... at the bare minimum non aggression. We have a vested interest in eliminating the tyranid insurgence and so we are prepared to commit whatever resources are needed, although I can not guarantee that our assistance will put you in a good light with the other imperial factions."
Von Böhm stared at the revolver, he was considering ending this nightmare for a couple of seconds, for another he was thinking of revenge, but he ended up with a third option. unholstering his own walther and pocket bible he dropped them on the floor and kicked it over to the Russian followed up by lighting his bible on fire, he was forsaken.

Trevor felt like the proverbial elephant in the room. Or blue whale. Or warlord Titan. Despite the german being a german soldier, he still felt for the man. It had to suck.
"Yes...well...um...non aggression sounds pretty good to me."
"Not to me," scoffed the Astartes. He stepped back. "I will not consort with xenos. Not even to the point of non aggression. The tyranids are not in any way a thread. There are what? two thousand of them? Child's play." He looked like he would say more, but Trevor raised his fist threateningly.
Gessart gazed upward at the herculean hand and was silent for a moment.
"Non aggression, then"
Trevor nodded. Good. We can start by divvying up the rooms I suppose. Who wants what?

Silent strike talked first. "We have dug in in the sunroom, although I have to apologize that we turned some of you C.S. goto material into carbon bricks most of the rest should be intact."

The three Ivans looked at eachother, and after a long discussion, they then turned to Trevor.
"we do not need a room. despite the Marines utter idiocy, we instead request your help with destroying the tyranids. After that, we will most likely leave your establishment, to where we do not know.”

"Hahaha" Trevor laughed. "No way. You guys are not leaving. Do you have ANY idea what those people outside would do to you? I'm talking vivisection, dissection, all kinds of nasty sorts of...sections. You guys are staying here." He wasn't quite sure why he said that, but he was quite sure he felt a vague sort of responsibility.

the three small men looked at the giant with shock and concern, but then sighed.
"there are many threats to Terra here" Reichstien admitted "but the tyranids are the only world ending one, and we do not have the man power to stand among so many foes."
Vlad patted his new friend on the back "perhaps it is taking as many down before we ourselves bite the dust that will give our men a purpose."
"hmm...yes..." Reich took a moment to think and let his head clear from all that had happened.
"yes...YES! we shall die for the emperor! it is all we have left now, and perhaps in the afterlife we can rejoin the imperium!"
there was a wave of energy among the vosto-russians, as the men seemed to start finding new courage and moral in going in guns blazing until they themselves were put down. they were soldiers, and with nothign else to live for, it seemed like the only thing to live for.
