Karlack cursed under her breath. Her village bravyalls had never been big on teaching anatomy, most of what little they had taught her before she left was the principles of their magic.
"Skull?" she said, pointing the skeleton's cranium. "Uh, fibur?" she said as she pointed at the long leg bone.
She cursed under her breath. The scary lady was almost assuredly going to shout at her again.

Falaern was overjoyed she got to learn so quickly and directly replied at the question the instructor had asked. "I do not know much about elemental magic except what school had teached me and my uncle showed me, neither do I know much about the creation of magic wards except that I made a small one one time, I guess if I were to describe what I do know its that you basically manipulate an element to take a form or undertake an action." She replied unsure if what she said was what the instructor wanted to hear or not. Morning Gardens- Teaching
Karren nodded, "correct in essence, technically we use magic to create an element and then we manipulate it, and what we can do is almost as limitless as magic itself. We can go on the attack." She supn around to face away, her hands moving together in complicated patterns as she shouted the words of power, then fire a ball of fire burst out of her hands to fizzle out about fifty feet away. "Defensive." she added, containing the movement to drag her foot through the earth until she was facing her students again and stomped with another loud torrent of words. A wall of rock leaped up from the mark she had left in the dirt. it was at least a foot thick. "or control" here she flicked Falaern's nose and a gust of wind pushed her back a step. "Key to using the elements is to not underestimate them, just because you summoned them does not mean they are your to command always, you must focus your Will and concentrate all the time you have an Element in motion, or it will do as it wills and your desires will not always align." "So," she continued, adopting a wide footed stance and holding her arms by her sides, elbows bent so her fists were parallel with the ground " You need to be able to keep your mind calm and focuses even when the storm rages around you. There are many ways to do that, meditation is great for when you are on your own and can spare the time, but in the heat of the moment i find the eastern styles are best." The elemental instructor took a step, shifted her weight and kicked a foot between the two students, and a gust of air rustled a bush near the academy wall. "Today i will teach you the basic forms that focus your mind towards each element," she said, foot still raised, "you won't be able to summon them, but they will align your Will with each one." She returned to her original wide stance, arms bent and fists clenched, " Do as I do, This is known as The Well, from it you may draw from the waters of magic, focus your mind on the power of magic within you but Do. Not. Tap. It. When you can feel its power at the edge of your mind we will continue."
Morning Lecture Room 3 - Teaching
Isabella waited to see if any more were forthcoming. When it was obvious there wasn't she sighed, "Alright. Disappointing but not unexpected. Be sure to study anatomy before we progress further in the Art and you will find things much easier." She turned in a whirl of black velvet and stalked back to the other side of the table. "For today i will demonstrate the versatility of Necomancy and Life Energy." She indicated the bones on the table, "Standard human male, a few ribs missing, and the fingers are incomplete, but that is only a problem if you are looking to perfectly recreate a body, an illegal act, before you ask, but Necromancy is oh so more varied than that." Isabella lifted the skull and held it in her palm to show the students, "Life energy requires living materials to bind to, like bone, flesh or, if desperate, living wood. Trying to do anything else is just a waste of time but look." She waved her hand over the crown of the school and muttered something, instantly the eye sockets lit up with a blue glow and the jaw snapped open and closed. "Although it may seem like it is alive," the instructor continued casually, as the skull snapped and growled, "but without my will to drive it it is nothing more than a fancy light source, fueled by life and magic. Eventually you can implant basic commands and have them be automated somewhat, but without a guiding hand they will just stand there until the binding fades and the life force escapes." The eyes of the skull dimmed and she placed it back with its body with care "Now, let us move onto the practical aspect of this lesson, I will teach you how to sense the life force around you so you can draw upon it once i teach you how. Lifeforce is found in the bones of the earth and in the bodies of everything alive, in your studies and later research you will only draw upon the lifeforce the land provides. For if you dare to even think about drawing life from a sentient creature, having an Inquisitor hunt you down will be the worst of your problems, for i will make your bones dance."

Domenico Livuat Morning Gardens -:-
Domenico found what he was looking for, as he was heading outside he heard the tones of Karen Undertow, the same woman his father had invited to dinner so many times, quietly he moved to the side of the area to watch, elementalism wasn't his focus here at the school and he hoped that after the lesson she would switch to warding, if not he supposed it was back to the books.

Falaern Nightmeadow
Morning
Gardens
Falaern took a deep breath and copied the stance the instructor took, she tried to concentrate and feel the powers within her. As time went by she indeed began feeling a power well up from inside, it felt so real she could touch it but she heeded her teachers warning and refrained. She opened her eyes while trying to keep her concentration "I am ready" she said keeping the position.

Elissa Myrr Morning Heading towards the gardens __________________________________________ Elissa made her way back towards the gardens, she felt most at home there. She couldn't find the element instructor. She isn't planning on giving up searching. Elissa smiled and thought, I have to learn about the elements. I want to make my family proud and I want to protect the forest.
As she entered the gardens she saw a student and a instructor. Elissa saw the instructor explaining the element powers to the student. She also saw a fire ball shooting away. Finally, Elissa thought, I found the right person.
Elissa walked up towards the instructor. "The element instructor, I guess?" She smiled, "May I join your lesson?" She happily added "I know most of the basics, so you don't have to repeat what you've already explained to the other student."

Nez'ra Morning Entering dining hall -------------
Nez'ra grew tired looking around the whole Academy and choose to head to the dining halls to see if he could find a student who studied Potions so that they could help him.
It took him a couple of minutes to finally get to the dining halls but he found his way and saw that it was very busy with students, Instructors and Inquisitors alike. Nez'ra hated crowds but he would have to make his way through it to find what he needed, climbing over satchels and gently pushing past people. Thats when he saw a panther under a table and a group of instructors sitting around, he took a deep breath and walked over to the table.
"H..hello. I was wondering if any of you teach Potions?" Nez'ra asked bowing his head to the Instructors.

"good" Undertow replied to the new arrival, "adopt the pose, seek the magic and hold." The instuctor waited untill the girl had done as asked and reported that she too could feel the power within. "Excellent." Undertow replied, standing between her students in the same pose, "Now i shall teach you the rest of the stater forms, do as i do but do not try and tap their power, let us start with fire." She shifted her pose, one foot extended our behind her, one hand held out flat in front of her, the other pulled back into a fist, "This pose is known as The Ember, adopt the form and think of what stirs your Passion, a handsome boy from back home, painting a masterpiece or simply seeing an artwork, or even a great meal with friends. the actual thought doesn't matter, as long as it excites you and inflames your passions, let that heat build in you and hold it there and eventually you shall be able to-" She took a step forward, and punched with the fist, a burst of flame shot out and vanished. Undertow then turned to face her charges, "do not try and draw upon the heat, just keep it contained. Fire is one of the most dangerous powers you can manifest without control it will destroy everything it touches. Keeping the fire of passion within you can also help you in winter, it will combat the chill." The Instructor then adopted the Well position again, this time facing her students, but placed a hand over her heart, one thing to remember is to avoid sending the energy through your heart, keep it to your centre, below that organ where you can send it where you will." "Next is the Wave," She stood on one leg, the other bent at the knee and her hands held palm down at different points level with her chest, "In this pose, think of a logical problem, like sums or a word puzzle, even if you already know the answer. Water is logical, ice is logical, it obeys rules in the land, but still leaves its mark. you should feel a slight chill, but you can use that to give your movements some of water's grace. Observe." The instructor spun slowly on the one leg, moved her arms in a waving pattern before as she shifted her weight to the other leg and placed it upon the ground, a ball of water appeared at the fist twitch of her hands and with the thrust was sent to splash harmlessly against the wall of the academy. "Now i will show you the Foothill, She spread her stance, legs wide and hands on her knees, body held straight backed and her chin slightly elevated, "here you should be determined and resolute, think of something that makes you stubborn and unrelenting as rock, hold your weight to your core and you shall become cousin to the mountains, sturdy and immobile." She then lifted a foot, slammed it down with a shout, a disc of earth shot upwards, and she spun around into a kick that sent it to explode against the damp patch of before. "For air you need to use The Sparrow," here she smiled, before she placed her right foot as far back as she could reach, left foot bent, and her chest held low so that it rested on the knee, her arms held out to her sides, "Here you should just keep your thoughts shifting and mobile, follow a pat of thought to its end then chose another, follow your thoughts to their end and feel them uplift you and you shall find your reactions sharper." She then twisted her entire body and a strong wind surged around her, lifting her up into the air where she spun arms held out, then dropped down to land before her students lightly like a cat. "so, go through the forms, hold, then shift to the next in any order you chose, but i stress, do not try and grasp them yet."

Falaern Nightmeadow Morning Gardens
Falaern went through the different forms, she started with fire. She tried her best but she didn't feel the passion nor excitement that could fuel a flame, she tried keeping the stance for a couple of minutes but nothing came of it, she decided she would need to come back to that later.
Afterwards she adopted the wave stance, this worked a bit better as she liked puzzles and she thought up a continuous string of puzzles that she kept solving until she got lost in her thoughts, she shook herself awake from the constant puzzling.
The next stance she chose to take was the foothill, if there was one thing she had been resolute about since entering the academy, it was equality. And so she was able to adopt the stance quite easily using her resolute feelings.
Lastly she took the sparrow stance, she followed the paths forming in her mind, until she got lost... She resolutely tried to find a path to follow but it felt like she was walking in circles, even when she thought the others had finished she was still trying to find a way a path, it didn't present itself, she opened her eyes with a sigh and prepared for the next step.

Elissa Myrr Morning the gardens ___________________________________ Elissa also started with fire. The fire pose was a piece of cake. Elissa felt proud that she could do that so easily. She knew that is wasn't fair, because she had already learnt much about fire and the force of it. The half-elf felt the force flowing through her body, it was really strong. She even had difficulty to control it, but succeeded. She liked fire, although she knew that it is very distructive. First she hated that element, but she had learned to control and accept it. Fire was something alive and when you respect it and are careful with it, it wouldn't hurt you or your environment.
After the fire pose, she tried to feel the force of water. Which failed. She liked water, but less than fire. Water is dangerous, more dangerous than fire. Everything can rise from ash, but nothing can rise from mud or swamps. When fire destroyes land, there can rise new trees. But when water floods everything, it can take many years for plants to grow again. She didn't feel anything, not even a slight bit of contact with water and the powers of it. Elissa felt a bit angry, but she tried to forget and get over with it.
Earth was also a bit of a problem. Elissa really tried to do her best, but it just didn't work. She felt nothing. In her eyes earth was just there.. she didn't feel power of it, nor the strength to eventually move a rock. The half-elf sighed and did the pose again, this time with a bit more power. It worked, she felt more in control and felt the powers flowing through her body.
Air next. The sparrow stance, that went really well. Easy, almost as easy as fire. It wasn't on purpose, but when she did the sparrow stance, there was a small gust of wind. Something like a small summerbreeze. Elissa felt proud, but she used magic, she didn't control it. She just couldn't. The half-elf looked down and hoped that the teacher wouldn't be angry with her.

Elros Morning His Room ----------------------------------------------- Elros woke after several hours of sleeping, the mid morning sun streaming in through the window of his room, casting long shadows from the items stacked on the desk. He swung himself out of bed and dressed quickly, before gathering his things and heading out into the corridors of the college. After Madame Skyreader’s lesson, he felt more ready than ever to learn more. He was hungry to learn some actual magic, but he was still undecided as to which school. ‘Perhaps the light school?’ He though, he wanted to learn about the more base aspects of magic, to study what it was that made it up, and how it worked, the light school did seem to be the purest aspect of study, and perhaps he could glean something from it’s methods, but maybe he needed to seek out one of the tutors and ask them...
