So I am bringing this over from the other site and felt it would be an awesome RP to run.
From the Old cometh the new!
Darkness Reborn may be gone...
From the Old cometh the new!
Darkness Reborn may be gone...
But we are starting fresh!
Characters will be rewritten and guess what! No Gods will be involved in this rp! Please note if you wish to help me plan this RP out and help me GM for the first time! That would be a grand ole plan!
We will either be good or evil. Its really up to you guys. I am fine with either side. But, How about we make it interesting! You can choose! Are you a goody tooty two shoes, or are you a baby eating/killing Villain!
It is time the villains got a spot light upon them! (in my Opinion!)
(Now that may change depending on the poll)
Or is it the time where those of the Light fight for their kingdom!

So without further ado....
I bring to you

The World of Òr is a world unlike any other. This world Terran like in comparison is a world that seems to have its polar effects witched, the Deep South being the coldest and most inhospitable of all the lands of Òr. Yet the north is filled with life. There are six vast Continents In the land of Or. The geography varies, from forests to deserts to marshes. Humans, Dwarves, Elves, Yetis, Demons, Vampyrs, Werewolves, and many other mythical creatures roam the world of Òr.
It is a place of myth and legend. From great travesties to great accomplishments have happened across this world.

Characters - From Old Unstarted RP
Azarael, the Black Seraph -
Okay for the purposes of this RP you take the place of a Villian. BUT! Your villian is not so overpowered warrior commander instead, you are just a simple general or warlord underneath the Overlord of Sidhe who overpowers you. You are just a simple minion in his army. But a strong one and a general no less. You are not so overpowered super god killer, nor a powerful demon lord. You are just a regular being or an ancient being who has come to take over the world. The Overlord is far more powerful than your character can ever hope to be.
(All the Above are Subject to change, It is an example of what we thought might happen)
New Characters
So currently I have been debating whether we should just restart the character making process and prevent people from having power hogs. So in order to ensure that we do not overpowering characters I will submit a character.

If you need help just message me!
If you wish me to I will create a Skill Chart. With all the skills you may use in the RP.
Notice: No character may be a demigod, or a god, All characters will be reviewed. This is just to make the roleplaying more fun and to ensure we do not have a god.
Name: Giaus Antonian - Asherian Command
The First Revenant, The Left Hand of the Newborn God, The Butcher, The Fury of the Void
"If one was to ever fight against Giaus Beware, for he is known as the tricker, and often leads entire armies of his enemies to their deaths." - The King of Oren
"He killed a Leader of the Obsidia Knights, in single combat. If that does not say anything about Giaus then I don't know what does." - Unknown
"He is my Left hand, He is my wisdom, my strength, All Share love with him, but all shall fear him. He is no mere Revenant, he is the First of his kind. For he shall be a plague upon this world." - Book of Nitorian
"All Bow before the Great General of nitorian!" - Necromancer fanatic
Age: 2050 Years Old
Race: Revenant Prime <--- This means he is the first, does not mean he is the greatest among his kind
Description/ Story / Background :
He is extremely skilled and talented in all arts of war. In his human life before becoming a Revenants he was a General under the King of Talderia. Talderia was a society unlike any other, it was wealthy and had structures as white as snow, that were almost impossible to replicate. Its armies were well trained and its people wealthy within the lands of Talderia. There was never peace in Talderia as constant wars with the Druids to the South, and Constant attacks from Goatmen Tribes from the North. The King of Talderia had Giaus fight war after war against the Goatmen to the North. Only managing ever to push them back. Giaus was the favored of the king, until the king grew mad with paranoia and tried to have him assassinated. Giaus learning of this gathered his legions along with Count Balduin into fighting the king, but they were numerically still out numbered. Giaus went around the kingdom raising a larger army, but he could not as many still trembled in fear of their king. This is when Count Balduin slew the god and took his place as the Newborn God, his first task to make a being never before seen. Giaus after learning of Balduin’s ascendancy risked his very own life so that he may defeat the King of Talderia. The count now renamed Nitorian took this as a want ask for new life. Giaus’s body was completely destroyed, his soul was ignited and his body became energy, his flesh was gone and was replaced with something new, in order to be able to be seen, he had to put on armor to cover his body. Giaus laughed at his new visage and his new powers. He could create rifts and raise the dead with his hands. No longer would he need to eat or drink. He was the First Revenants. Nitorian seeing his success and creating a perfect being turned Giaus and Nitorian’s Legions into Revenants. The Counts Legion was created and began to march towards the King of Talderia and slaughtered half the inhabitants and raising the dead in their place. Thus began the War of the Dead, and the Destruction of Talderia.
He still has a deep seated hatred for the destruction of his master and his legions. Giaus himself was slain by the Obsidian Magus and the Ranger King. But he was only banished into the void, like all Revenants are. The Void was where he learned how to bend the void to his will, honing his powers so that when he returned he would exact vengeance upon the world. There he met the former Newborn God, who sat on his throne in meditation. The Newborn god during the war of the dead had set up a dimension within the void for his followers to ensure that, once the war was won they would rule from that place. The Newborn god told Giaus to find a way to restore his powers and to return the Count’s Legion’s Honor. Giaus accepted this as his goal. He became the Newborn God’s favored servant once again, dealing with the vast void creatures that were trying to tear apart their Void bound home apart. He warred with these creatures, also with angels from the heavens and demons from the hells. All wishing to destroy the Newborn God’s Home and burn it and bring havoc upon it just like the Newborn God brought to their homes. For centuries he has fought to defend his new home, and he has developed a keen eye on mastering strategy and tactics for his people, even though he fought on two separate fronts against the angels and demons, He was able to defeat them and close their makeshift gateways into the Revenants homeland that is unofficially dubbed The Land of incorruptione. The Newborn God was impressed by Giaus and was able to use the small amount of power to instill a wizard to research summoning a Revenant for research. The Newborn God had finally used his powers and was put to sleep by the Revenants, so that his powers would return slowly.
In the lands of Or, a curious wizard accidently summoned Giaus from the void. Giaus had returned to the world and sought out to find the remnants, but first he slaughtered the inhabitants of the mage tower, to where he had been summoned to. The Mage Towers name is called the Silver Spire, which is located within the Kingdom of the cold South, there he donned the armor of the mages, wrapping himself in garbs so that none would know who he was. He then was able to summon from the lives of the dead mages, many of his lieutenants from the Void. After learning the magic rituals that brought him to the world of Or. Now only he possesses the key for the salvation of his people. He then traveled to Overlord of Sidthe and asked if he could lend his services to the Overlord. He would serve the Overlord of Sidthe, who had no love for the hells or heavens, as the hells had betrayed he many times.
It has been a thousand years since the war of the dead, and The First Revenants and his remaining Legion, know they must side with the Overlord if they are ever to defeat the kingdoms of Or. The first of his kind and the last General of the Count’s Legion. He is a prideful commander who uses his talented power of necromancy, and the power of the void to his bidding. He leads the remnants of the Count’s Legion and the Risen. He wears a blue cloak that he took from the Obsidian Magus, after he defeated her in single combat at the Battle of Oren. He also has searches for manastones so that he can bring back the might of the counts legion. His armor is golden and carries vast runes upon it. His sword is an ancient relic of a forgotten age. All being stored at the Mage Tower. He has allied himself in fear to the Overlord of Sidthe. The only being he fears.
Personality: Like Most Revenants, Giaus sees himself as a perfect being, and a being that has no flaws. This unfortunately has caused him to become ego centrist and any issue caused by anything that has happened due to his misfortune he blames upon others. Not himself.

The Count’s Legion were once countless in number, now they are but a hundred in number. Wearing the bones of their victims and armor fashioned to hold their souls. They are neither the dead nor the living like their master. They are Revenants beings of pure energy, they are not able to feel death like any other being, instead they cannot be killed, they can only be banished. They are banished to the Void as they belong to neither heaven nor hell. Like their Master, they were once proud Man at arms and Knights of a Kingdom, all twisted by their master to be perfect beings. This has caused many of them to be egocentric, and fanatical for their leader. They follow only him and those who command him.

In order to maintain their Presence in the Land of Or they retreated into the dark confines of the Talderian Ruins. A few decades after the War of the Dead, the Paladins of West Shore began their mission to destroy all the Revenants and to end the Count’s legion. They began a War that would become known as the Scouring of West Shore. A Thousand Revenants were slain in a night, all being caught off guard by the Paladins. Those Revenants remaining after the slaughter were lead by the Illustrious and Great Torturer Gairovald the Widowslayer. An Infamous Revenant who was under the tutelage of the Torturer and Right Hand of the Newborn God, Balthasar. He took his pleasure in slaying the bandits who had taken refuge in the great ruins of the temple of the Old God. But a single man had survived and had gotten word to the Paladins of the Remaining Revenants. There he was able to commune with His God. At the time his force number but only a dozen. All Battle Scarred and feared. But then the Paladins of Westshore came, magnificent in skill, lead by the Leader of the Paladins of West Shore, The Great Hero of his age Ulricus the Bringer, finding the Revenants in their last stand. But luck seemed to strike for Gairovald who had discovered his magic. He was able to raise the graves of the dead priests and priestess to attack Ulricus and his paladins. Ulricus and his paladins fought the Undead Hordes that had gathered there slaughtering them all as they came through with swords, hammers and spears flaming with holy fire. They saw the Revenants gathered in a circle, all of the Revenants spoke in one voice and their armor and bodies burst with energy rippling through the temple knocking over the paladins, and killing all the undead. The Revenants seemed to have committed suicide but in their blindness, the revenants escaped in their energy forms. They took flight away from the paladins. Gairovald and his Revenants escaped. But they had abandoned their armor and their weaponry. They went to the old armories of the Talderian and took up the armor that laid there and knew that they had tricked the Paladins into believing that the last of the Revenants were banished. So the Count’s Legion Endured, with the last of the Count’s Legion traveling constantly so that all would believe that the Count’s Legion was extinct. Instead they began cults of Necromancers so that the paladins were distracted from them.
Those few remaining Revenants went into hiding spreading themselves out across the Kingdoms of Or, so that if one were to be discovered, not all of them would be doomed. Almost a thousand years after the death of the Newborn God, Gaius Antonian the General from the War of the Dead Returned from the Void, and called to Remaining Counts Legion to join him. Gairovald and his Revenants gathered to Gaius Antonian at the Silver Spire and made it their new home, all of them pledging allegiance to Gaius, Gairovald becoming One of Gaius’s captains. But through some dark trickery, Gaius was able to summon from the lives of the remaining wizards of the Silver Spire, a small task force of Revenants. Now There were a hundred Revenants, including himself.
One day a Messenger arrived, arriving with a message to Gaius Antonian telling him to join the Overlord of Sidthe. Gaius paranoid that it was some sort of trap, killed the messenger, and reanimated the messenger and told him to return to his master. The Messenger the left, a week later another messenger, holding the head of the former messenger came to the Tower, Telling Gaius that if he did not join the Overlord, the Overlord would be forced to slaughter the Revenants. Gaius seeing that it was not some trickery agreed and finally agreed to serve the Overlord of Sidthe. They came to the service of the Overlord of Sidthe, joining the endless armies of the Overlord, and prepared for their war with the Forces of the World of Or.
They are masters of combat and like their master they draw their energies from the void. They are exceptionally hard to kill and are the polar opposite of paladins. In addition to use void powers they can raise undead, but they mostly use their raised only for meat shields as they prepare their magics to kill their opponents by summoning skeletons and Other creatures of the dead. Though this is not the only way they can do harm. Each Revenant has tampered with the magics of the void. They are the select few that have survived the destruction of the Count’s Legion in the Lands of Or, so they possess magical talents. They use Void Magic, a very destructive form of magic, but they can only cast so many spells before they weaken themselves, completely. They are able to create rifts through the fabric of reality hurl energy liken to that of a miniature sun, and can call upon the heavens to rain stars. They can even empower themselves with void magic to make them invincible for a time. But this magic is dangerous to them, and others, after the battle is won, they seem lifeless after they have used these magics. Hence why their hesitance to use it, instead they use normal magic unless they have no other choice.
A Revenant has not been seen by the world in over a thousand years not since the Scouring of West Shore. They are extremely potent soldiers even without their magics, having centuries perfecting their art. They wait with their last General Giaus Antonian to exact vengeance upon the world of the living. Though few in number they can summon hordes of undead creatures to do their bidding.
In battle the Counts Legion show no quarter and slay any that is considered their enemy, men, women, and even children have met their steel or magics. They are merciless, and take no prisoners, though they sometimes on rare occasions capture a single survivor they are sold to slavery or ransomed.
(Note he may be similar to an older character, but he is only a regular Revenant, which means he is weak and brittle, but hits like a mage. His powers will be lessened)

The Overlord of the Sidhe -
Villian
None truly know the origins of the being known as the Overlord of the Sidhe. His past stretches far, and his influences can be seen as a dark stain in the histories of the races of the world. To the Dwarves he is Drozak-gul, the Silencer of Holds. The Elves name him Eorak an Arrhai, if they dare to name him at all. To men he is simply the Dark One, for no other conveys quite the blackness of his soul. To the fouler things that dwell in the world and the planes beyond it he is master.
All manner of evil things are drawn to serve under his shadow and the names of his Lieutenants bears testimony to his power. Succubi, god-slayers, dark mages and even angels fallen from grace can be found in his ranks, each a being of terrible power in their own. Yet the Overlord is something greater. These serve not through faith or loyalty, such things are anathema to them, but through fear.
His true face is unknown to any, even his closest lieutenants have never seen it. Some suspect that he may have no face at all, but none have ever been brave, or foolish, enough to ask. Those few of the Alliance of Dochas that have seen him and lived to tell the tale reported a dark figure, all flesh swathed and hooded in black material, with only the pale, unnaturally jointed hands exposed. Over this is a breastplate of dark steel, which seems to absorb all light that touches it. Most unnervingly, although he walks he still appears to glide across the ground, as though his feet never truly make contact with whatever surface he is standing on.
For thousands of years he has plagued the world, once every few generations his power grows, and his forces spill across the land, maiming and murdering as they go. Each time they have been repulsed, but each time he has returned stronger, as if every drop of innocent blood spilled serves to strengthen him. Now his power is waxing again, and the world is in the grip of a war none have ever seen the like of before.
The Marshal of Oren
- Protoganist or our Antagonist
A Woman who has seen the horrors of the undead, is now with a party hunting down a rumour of the Dreaded Overlord of Sidthe is gathering his forces. She Travels with a large hunting party, their mission to investigate reports of undead activities. Of which there is the dead rising from their graves in the ruins of the Talderian Empire. The Marshal is from a border town of Oren. These towns are very militartistic like most people of Oren, she was given military training, but she was away from her home town, when a raider party attacked the Town and killed her parents and many others. This raider party retreated before she arrived and she found her home in ruins, with but a handful of survivors. Since that day she has vowed to find evil. And Destroy it.
She carries with her a sword of her hometown, blessed with ability to glow when the undead draw near. Its blade is enchanted with holy magic and ice magic. It was an heirloom of that town, but since it’s bearer had been killed in the long struggle against the bandits of the Talderian Ruins, she was the successor and was given the title of Marshal. She is the one that often leads expeditions into the former empires cities. There they find ancient texts and many other artifacts. She is a fierce woman, that has slain many beings in her time. She is skilled, but tactful, she very rarely engages in combat unless she must or there is a plan set in place by her Lieutenant. A man of few words, but brighter than her entire party.
She travels by horse, and is now left the ruins of the Talderian, in pursuit of a bigger prize. She has heard rumors of a great evil returning to this world. She along with her company have left towards the source of these rumors. She does not come lightly as she comes with a Paladin from westshore, and many Soldiers and Rangers of Oren.
The Grand Master
Protoganist or our Antagonist
The Lord of the Paladins, the bringer of light, The Sword of the Heavens, and the Hammer of Demons. The Grand Paladin is the leader of the Paladins of Westshore and its military forces. He is an icon to the people of West shore. Many times has he joined the forces of Or against the Overlord of Sidthe and his legions of followers. Many times have they slaughtered the Overlord and his Legions. The Grand Paladin is selected from those who are the greatest among the numbers of the Paladins. They are naturally talented individuals, able to call upon the powers of the light, blinding their enemies and banishing demons.
The Grand Paladin wears armor fitting of his title, all enchanted with the properties of light. It is the original armor of the Bastard Descendant during his battle with the Newborn God. After the passing the Descendant he gave his armor and sword to the Paladins of Westshore. This sword has is red casted, it shines with a Its grip is of a gray metal set with pearls. Its hilt is engraved with a stone of unknown origin, but it is precious and gives the sword magical properties. Its touch is said make the wicked cry out in agony, Only those with a pure heart can wield this Sword. Its name is the Vermilion Blade.
The Grand Paladin is a title, but the current Grand Paladin lives up to his title. His name is Ivvanus Maginrad. He has slain an entire witch coven, slain a Fire Drake, and banished a Demon lord. He is fair and his hair is golden, and his eye are filled with fire. He is a man that is filled with little humor.
He is mistrustful of other magics, and is often seen as a bigot. He has masterful control over Holy Magic, able to bless his shield and his sword with it. He brought down an entire coven with blinding light which seared their flesh and burnt out their eyes. For truly he is being to be feared.
Magics
Magics of Òr
This is a detailed account by the Illustrious Magus Vulkos Vladmir.
The Laws of Magic
In order to use magic one must have the proper tools and training, The most basic of these tools are focusing iris. This allows you to actually use magic, these can be staves, amulets, magical books, stones, or on extremely rare occasions using yourself as a focusing iris. Case and point Radigost the Necromancer Lord during the War of the Dead according to records did not have to use any focusing iris, because he learned of a way to use his abilities through himself, this is usually seen as extremely dangerous and only those of extreme skill could do this. There have been many who use unique irises themselves, like the Obsidian knight’s whose natural inclination to magic lets them use their swords as their irisises to use magic. Focusing Irises are how we Mages and Wizards control our abilities, It is how we are able to fire bolts of lightning from thin air. Without a stave or some focusing iris we are completely powerless. Some talent-less mages use wands, a stupid customary among young wizards compared to the illustrious mages of telekinetic magic who only use their minds.
There is a taboo and unofficial rule among all mages is that Resurrection Magic is strictly forbidden, as it is also impossible. As seen by the Goatmen Clans who are masters of Necromancy have yet to replicate their kin into living creatures once again. This taboo is always broken by young mages who seek to reborn their loved ones from the dead. But necromancy an art that is often confused with ressurection magic, but necromancy instead of bringing the dead back you are creating a new being, from the remants of an old, it be similar to the fallen before, they may possess the same memories but it is not the same creature as the one from before their death. Many hapless souls have brought beings of undeath that have quickly engulfed their creators, leaving behind only the bones of the creator and a very hungry creature.
The only rule of all magic is that you cannot create something out of nothing. Magic is created from the essence of energy that lies within all beings, in order to channel this energy one has to use a focusing iris, if all that energy is gone, the user dies. It is extremely draining to use magics for too long as it usually leads the mage to fall unconscious. There is an exception to this rule Void Magic, which is forbidden and almost impossible to actually use, unless they are neither angel, demon or mortal. As it usually leaves the user dead and completely lifeless. The only beings to master it are the Revenants of the Newborn God.
I myself am an Arcane Magic user and an Elemental Mage, I use all four elements and I do not specialize in any more than the other. I have gone throughout the lands of Òr and I have traveled to the places of fictitious events like the Great Battle of Oren, the so called ancient battle between the Bastard Descendant and the Great Newborn God, which is now ritually guarded by the Rangers of Oren, a very different folk from my experiences. I’ve seen the great Talderian ruins, which is still running rampant with bandits and undead. I’ve even visited the Yeti Tribes in the South. Who make quite a slue of different types of drinks and potions, all of them being quite intoxicating.
There are many other things that I will cover such as the different types of magics and their uses. Though there are many I will only list them for the sake of my paper, as the Mages have gotten wind of some divine prophecy of an upcoming sundering. That I myself find hard to believe.
Natural Magic
Natural Magic, the power to control the earth and life around one’s self, is both loved and feared by those who know of it. The Druids of the forests are the most famous wielders of this potent magic. Druids are not confined to any particular area or forest, they exist wherever the trees take root and animals flourish. Druids usually use some sort of tree branch molded into a cane or staff as their focusing iris. Some of the more sinister beings use animal spines for theirs. Druids universally use their power to protect the nature around them and direct it to destroy any intruder or threat to their beloved forests. They can call upon the roots of trees to pull down their enemies, they can breathe life into stone and tree and give them sacred tasks. But unlike all other magic, this magic is not rightful theirs, they must commune with the Spirit Gods in order to use their magic, it is done through them pardoning or asking for power to use in defense of the forests.
Holy Magic
Throughout the settlements of Òr, many temples dedicated to various gods and goddesses have been embedded in the cities as a fact of life. Most of these temples are lead by priests and other holy men, and some of these religious leaders claim to have been gifted extraordinary abilities by their deities, able to heal crippling wounds with a prayer and blessing, or grant divine protection to them. Many Paladins are also potent wielders of holy magic, and when channeled through such mighty warriors, the Paladins become an anathema to the Undead, cutting their flesh like paper and setting fire to the edges, or causing the Undead to flee in sheer terror, if such a thing could be felt by those who do not live, or become a shining beacon in the darkest places. Some are so powerful that heavens are set alight and furious lightning comes from the heaven, while others simply swing their sword and bolts of light melt away their enemies. While the priests uses symbols and religious icons of their patrons as their irises, it is unknown how Paladins channel their magic, or even if it is at all intentional. It has been speculated that their weapons, swords, bows and shields, are their focuses, but nothing has been confirmed. In reality, no one really cares how their wield their talents, only that it keeps the hordes away…
Blood Magic
In the far North of the land of Or, there are mages and sorcerers who’s names and faces should be feared far and wide, but none have seen their faces nor heard their names. They never appear, and are never seen. They have no need. Their blood magic means they never have to. The ability to control a person’s actions, the very blood within their veins, is a terrifying gift. They are said to exist in a tower in the northernmost point of Or, plotting, scheming and generally being evil sorcerers. Many brave warriors, Knights wishing to prove their worth, on rare occasions even Paladins, have set off to bring their heads back on pikes, most with large groups of their finest men at their sides. Many have not returned. Those that have are different, blood seeping from every wound and their minds empty of their adventure, those who do remember only speak of the horrors they had witnessed driven mad by grief.
Occasionally, one of the sorcerers, or even worse, a group, do appear, and spread havoc and devastation, taking obscene delight in watching men and women unwillingly butcher their friends, families, children, unable to stop themselves. Rarely are they able to be brought down, but when they are there is a great celebration in whatever villages suffered their wrath.
Not all Blood Mages start out from evil deeds. Blood Magic can be used to resurrect the dead, but it is a dangerous practice. Many young, inexperienced mages have attempted to revive their lost loved one, only to find their own bodies horribly disfigured and the bodies of the ones they sought to revive, mutilated and beyond recognition- or worse, Undead. Rumor has it that these failed attempts are the source of the sorcerers. Young, horribly disfigured Blood Mages travel to find tuition, hoping for the answers they seek, and end up burned alive by the people they terrorize, or die alone, withered and hated by all in this world.
Void Magic
The Revenants who plague the world as part of the thrice-damned Count’s Legion wield their own, hideous form of magic- Void Magic, able to tear holes in reality itself. This magic is incredibly risky, even for the walking dead. Over- or Mis-use of void magic can create a black hole around the user, obliterating them. Revenants are immune to the immediate effects of using magic of this nature, which is immediate and instant death, being already dead, however not even they can fully control their powers. Most living creatures wouldn’t dare attempt it, never mind have the strength to wield it. Revenants are powerful mages, and other magics they use are potent indeed. However, Revenants have several blind spots. Being dead, thy have no ability to use a focusing iris, and thus their spells take much longer to cast and are harder to control. While using their magic, Revenants become blind to the living world, only able to see spirits and other Undead. In addition, their failing bodies means Revenants are slow in relation to most other races, and deteriorate further as time goes on unless they are preserved with magic, though this only happens if they use void magic to much. Runes (Runic Magic)
The Council of Runic Mages is a myth, or is said to be. It is said to exist only in fairy tales and hopes of naïve young men and women. Rune Magic is the oldest of all magic, and its application involves runes and symbols to ward off all other magic. Rune magic is fairly common, but only at a basic level. The rune of fresh breath, the rune of clean clothes. This is not true rune magic. True rune magic is only practiced by the Council, a remnant of the days past where the Elves protected all of Òr. Magic so powerful it can stop the gods themselves from entering their lands, it is said. Occasionally humans and Elves can be found who practice the lost art, and they are usually paid royally if they assist in the wars against the Overlord, but their powers are but a fraction of what the legendary council possesses at its fingertips.
When used for evil, Rune Magic is one of the most devastating of all things. The power to curse an entire city or even a realm by strategically placed runes, or runes to ward off other magic are powerful tools in the Overlord’s arsenal. Thankfully, not many of those who can perform this lost art choose servitude over suicide.
Regular and Telekinetic Magic
Magic in its most common forms comprise of two types- regular and telekinetic. Of the two, telekinetic is the more passive but harder to master. Regular magic is often the first form of magic a new mage learns. Fireballs, lightning, ice. Basic spells. They are the weakest forms of magic but in the hands of a powerful spellcaster they can be devasting indeed. Telekinetic magic is a passive form of magic. It can be used to read and even control minds, move objects across a room on willpower alone and in rare cases even divine the future. It is easy to learn, but hard to master. Many have tried to divine the future but many have been met with disappointment.
Enchanting Magic
An uncommonly practiced magic is the art of enchant. This magic is famously known to be used by the Obsidia Knights who commonly enchant their weaponry with powerful magics. It literally means to imbue an object with the users powers, This often creates weapons that on the touch could explode an enemies armor or catch them on fire. Or it could be more subtle, a blade that shines in the dark that shines only when the dead are near, and the blade can kill those who take no breath. This magic is usually highly practiced and is used by the forgers of great skill. They use anvils and hammers to imbue weapons, giving them special power, this is usually an elemental magic.
Arcane Magic
Another common magic is Arcane magic. Arcane magic is using the cosmic powers of the stars, and magics never before seen. This is often what leads mages to create their own spells, and is the most commonly practiced. This magic allows the summoner to throw at their opponents cosmic energies and can create beings that protect them from harm from these cosmic energies. They like most use staves and books to channel their powers. This magic is extremely difficult to master, but easy to learn.
Necromancy Magic
Feared and completely outlawed in the Lands of Òr are the foul magics of Necromancy. Once a very rare magic only practiced by the Goatmen tribes, it has become common place due to the rise of the Necromancer God Nitorian or so they say. Nitorian is a legend, the God that rose an army from the fallen empire of the Ancient Talderian Empire. The magics of necromancy is quite powerful, but it requires many things, bones, dust, blood, and flesh. In order to summon an undead creature one must cut their hand into a sacred goblet. This has actually lead to the creation of many foul creatures, as Necromancy is more of an exact science, hence why when a village is taken over exactly a dozen villagers are left with their bodies drained of all blood and the local cemetery is completely empty. This magic’s focusing irises are various, going from knives, to staffs to blackened books. The creatures created from necromancy are unholy and unsettling, some creatures being created from the bodies of many slain poor souls. Necromancers are often hunted down by Paladins and Knights. Their numbers dwindling since the destruction of the Church of Nitorian was discovered and destroyed.
Hell Magic (Black Magic)
None are more damning than the magics of the hells. This magic is dangerous and extremely violate, even to the user. Though destructive this magic often leads to the user becoming addicted to it like some sort of curse. There is always a price with Black Magic. Only demons are free from this, as they have already paid their price. This magic amplifies normal magic to a degree, the users are often channeling through a black book or a stone. This magic allows the user to cast devastating spells, and to cast hexes. The most common users of hell magic are the Witch Covens that plague the lands of Òr.
This concludes the investigation of Magic and its effects. I hope you enjoy my journal, and use it to some degree in what ever research you may need. May the God of Magic grant you wisdom.
