So got a message from Mordo telling me that he is working on a new edition of bloodmoon to replace the one that we lost from the old site, also to be the messenger of said news. A lot of original stuff was posted there for safekeeping and well that kinda went poorly. So Mordo is working with new rules, bloodlines, other fun bits. He may be changing history fluff to provide a more endowed world. He is currently working on Vampires and I'll be posting more updates as he goes through. He may contact certain blood moon players for their opinions and thoughts on concepts. Mordo is also currently trying to find artists to provide original house and bloodline symbols. Please post questions on this forum so we can answer them. Please note this is not an announcement of any future game being planned just a new edition.

New Vampire introduction, Sanguinem Romae, and one new Bloodline:
Vampires: Old Curse, New Blood
By and large, most mortals consider vampires to be a myth, a fairytale told to give a face to the primordial fear of violation. Most mortals buy into the idea that the world is simple and mundane, the tales of their ancestors fallacies striving for meaning. Largely, mortals fear more mundane terrors: robbery, disease, bankruptcy, starvation, etc. No one seriously fears the sharpened fangs of the vampire these days, and for their part, the vampires would like to keep it that way. For nearly as long as there have been humans, there have been vampires watching hungrily from the shadows, building their own darkling societies in the night. According to vampire legend, the first amongst their number was Cain, the First Murderer, from which all vampires must trace their lineage. Legend states that after being cursed by God, Cain wandered the earth, Embracing a selected few whom he deemed worthy of his dark gift. Cain has since vanished, but his children have inherited his pieces of eternity. Mortal legends regarding vampires are somewhat inaccurate, though some key aspects are entirely correct:
Vampire Traits:
-Vampires are destroyed by sunlight, and in some instances, intense UV radiation can cause severe tissue damage. -A stake through the heart paralyzes a vampire until the stake is removed or they are destroyed. -The reflection of a vampire is blurry and indistinct, and shows up as fuzzy in photographs and video footage. -Vampires fear fire, and go to great lengths to avoid it. (Mechanically, a vampire must move away from any open flame) -Vampires do not need to eat, sleep, or drink, nor do they catch illnesses (though they can spread them) or age. -Vampires enter daysleep when the sun rises and awaken at dusk. Vampires in the Arctic or areas with similarly unusual day/night cycles may stay active as long as the sun remains set. Vampires in Alaska, for example, experience long periods of activity as well as long periods of dormancy. -Vampires must feed on human or animal blood every night or suffer a consecutive -1 penalty to their Toughness. Once their Toughness reaches 0, the vampire lapses into dormancy unless fed blood. -Vampires automatically detect other vampires at a glance. -Vampires may start with 2 Major and 1 Minor NPC and one Base of Operations. -Due to their unliving nature, all vampires have the Feel no Pain trait.
The Bloodlines:
The Sanguinem Romae
Vampire society cannot be discussed without first discussing the Sanguinem Romae, the vampire Houses of Ancient Rome. It is in Rome that Cain established his kingdom on earth, Embracing the heads of the Houses of Brutus and Julius to serve as his stewards, Cain left Rome to continue his wanderings, leaving the Mother of the World in the capable hands of his “children”. Rome waxed mighty under the secret leadership of the Brutii and Julii, but the magical blood-theft of Manus Julius by the Orphic priest Gracchus Scipio caused a schism within the vampires of Rome as the new House of Scipio rose to power from the stolen blood of Manus and the power of necromancy. War flared between the Houses, the Brutii and Julii seeking to destroy the Scipii bloodthieves for their unspeakable crime. They were somewhat successful, driving the Scipii from Rome and forcing them into hiding. Though Rome has since fallen, the Houses continue their war to this day, the Brutii and Julii hunting down the scant remaining Scipii.
The House of Brutus Nicknames: Deceivers, Senators WS 4/BS 5/S 5/T 6/W 3/I 5/A 2/ SV 3+ Description: Born of the blood of Quintus Brutus, a powerful senator of the Roman Republic, the Brutii dominated the politics of Rome from the shadows, ensuring that the House’s best interests were always served. Cunning and dangerous, the Brutii are also pompous and arrogant, often revelling in their status and looking down on vampires they consider their inferiors. The Brutii are obsessed with power, and are prone to megalomania and intense paranoia. Imperium: The Brutii may bend other beings to their darkling will by beguiling them with words. By taking an action to speak to a target, the Brutii may bind them to his will. Mechanically, the target must roll above a three or follow any non-obviously suicidal order from the Brutii.
The House of Julius Nicknames: Legionaries, Miles WS 6/BS 5/S 6/T 7/W 3/I 5/A 3/ SV 3+ Description: The militant arm of the Sanguinem Romae, the House of Julius crushes revolts and maintains order within the vampire community at large, often maintaining garrisons within vampire-held cities. The founder of the Bloodline, Manus Julius, was a Principe in the Roman army known for his excess in battle, often mutilating the slain foe and nailing their corpses to the walls of his camp. Manus exemplified the concept of “Roman terror”, scaring rowdy subject peoples into compliance with his brutality. It was Manus Julius from whom Gracchus Scipio drew his stolen blood, an act that caused shockwaves throughout the Sanguinem Romae and began the war that continues tonight. Protero: The Julii continue the tradition of their founder by continuing his excess in war, mutilating the corpses of the foe with inhuman glee. By taking a turn to mutilate the corpse of a foe, the Julii forces all enemy characters who witness the mutilation to roll under a 3 or have their initiative reduced to 1 for the remainder of the scene.
The House of Scipio WS 5/BS 5/S 5/T 4/W 3/I 5/A 2/ SV 3+ Nicknames: Priests, Necromancers Description: Gracchus Scipio was a man of vision, that much is clear. A Thracian-born citizen, Scipio became fascinated with the mysteries of death from an early age, and when he entered adulthood, assumed the mantle of a priest of Orpheus, delving into the mysteries of the underworld, seeking to one day reenact Orpheus’ descent into the hereafter and return. In his studies, he learned of undying monsters who drank the blood of the living, and so sought to verify such rumors, for wouldn't such creatures know much of the mysteries of death? Whilst wandering the streets of Rome, Scipio watched in horror and amazement as a pale man drank the blood from a beggar. Scipio knew he had his vampire, and so approached the man, revealing himself and begging him to teach him all he knew. Taken aback, the creature fled, telling his tale to his Julii masters, who sent one of their own to kill Scipio. The priest escaped the assassin, and was forced to hide in the sewers, where he received a vision from Orpheus, who presented him with a spell that would wrest the knowledge from the Julii. Orpheus also revealed where Manus Julius lay in daysleep. Come the dawn, Scipio ventured forth from his hiding place and into a secret crypt, where Manus Julius lay. Reciting the spell taught to him by Orpheus, Manus’ body began to quake, shaking spasmodically as his mouth snapped open, the stolen blood spiralling from his lips and into the mouth of Scipio. Once Manus Julius lay dry, his body cracked and crumbled into dust, and Gracchus Scipio was no longer human. Across Rome, the Julii felt the death of their founder, and when they awoke from daysleep, tore Rome apart searching for the culprit, they found him, hiding in the catacombs, a legion of the dead raised against his hunters. The battle was fierce, and though the Julii managed to destroy the skeletal host, Scipio had once again escaped into the night, spreading his curse to those he wished would join him in his eternal quest to understand the mysteries of death, and now, unlife. Necromancia: All Scipii are adept necromancers, often raising the dead as servants and soldiers. These soulless husks follow any order to the letter, throwing themselves into danger at the behest of their vampiric masters. By succeeding on a roll of 4+, a Scipii may animate a corpse within his line of sight. The corpse follows all orders given to it that can be described in less than six words, such as “kill,” or, “guard this area.” Animated corpses use whatever weapons they had in life, if any. A Scipii may only animate three corpses per scene in this manner, but may animate more through narrative means. Animated corpses have the following profile:
WS 3/BS 3/S 4/T 4/I 2/A 2/ SV 4+ Traits: Feel No Pain, Fearless, Slow and Purposeful Shaitan Nicknames: Devils, Persians WS 5/BS 6/S 5/T 5/W 3/I 5/A 2/ SV 3+ Description: While the majority of vampires point to Cain as the start of their lineage, the Shaitan take things a step further and claim that they were spawned from the blood of demons. While most other vampires scoff at this belief, they cannot help but admit that the Shaitan possess powers beyond the scope of any other vampire Bloodline. The Shaitan are old, that much is agreed upon, hailing from the dynasties of ancient Persia, skulking in the halls of kings, poisoning their minds with vile whispers, the blackened bodies of their foes resting in unknown graves. From whence did they come? According to the Shaitan, the first of their line was a mortal sorcerer who drank the blood offered to him by Sawar, the Daeva of oppression. The sorcerer was transformed, his blood turning to fire in his veins, his body filled with an oppressive hunger for human blood. The Shaitan are largely of Middle Eastern (primarily Iranian) stock, and many are incredibly attractive, though their completely pitch dark eyes make most mortals uncomfortable, and for this reason, many Shaitan conceal their eyes behind sunglasses or the like. Shaitan band together under a Shah, the most elder and powerful vampire amongst them, and largely avoid vampire politics, preferring to stand apart from the bickering viper nests. Exhalation of Shawar: The Shaitan breathes in deeply, willing her blood to ignite in her veins before breathing it outwards in a cone of howling, shrieking flame. When a Shaitan uses Exhalation of Shawar, her flesh burns away to reveal her flame-shrouded skeleton, the skull now sporting massive, serrated fangs, multiple horns, or similar demonic features. This transformation is simply an illusion, and the flames radiating from her body do not harm any gear she may be carrying. Due to this ability, the Shaitan do not fear fire as other vampires do. The Exhalation of Shawar is a shooting attack with the following profile:
Range: Flamer Template/ Strength 5/ AP 5/ Type: Assault 1
