Sorry for the late reply cas
1: That sounds Great. Keep in mind, for POV charachters, they don't all have to be members of your family, and not all family has to be POV.
2: the erynese on Eryn are similar to scandinavians, but the Seamarkers and westermen are a bit different. They're more militant than most, and tend to be very invested in their religion, but not to the point of zealotry. They just don't like to piss of the clergy.
The Mark Sheet will be up soon. That will include the Counts directly below you in the feudal ladder (Who I'll write up) each of whom rules over a shire of your mark, of which there are several, usually half a dozen or so. There are also the odd noble knightly family which controls an important motte or castle within the mark. These will all be brought to light when the mark sheet goes up, and then you and I can work one on one in making the Mark and filling it with important people.
As for standing forces, I'll get to military a few infodumps from now, but the majority of your armies are well off yeomen who live at home and spend their time farming, and training for a few days every month, with their own weapons kept at home. (Your men at arms) or will otherwise join for the glory but must be equipped (feudal soldiers) or are press ganged into it (militia) however you will have three standing forces, your knights, who come in several different types, your family knights, who are like your bodyguards and your household guard, a few hundred to a thousand men who act as the guards of your family, road police and a professional army.
The Alinor and Avenon schism is based off of the time of the two popes in the 1300s. As neither are heretical, they both hate each other and denounce the other as false, but the main difference is that the Archbishop of Alinor is more conservative and hardline religious and dead-set on massive, militant pilgrimages, and the archbishop of avenon is more laid back and pushes for peace in Orthendom.
Orthianism (coming up) is the oficcial state religion, but a Mark can align itself with the Alinorian hardline approach or the more liberal Avenite approach.

Orthianism
Orthians are monotheistic peoples who believe in one God whom they simply call God. According to Orthian belief, in Redessa, God’s fallen brother Asmodai came to a beautiful queen and made her a witch –by conceiving a child with her. This child was called Ortha, and she was a princess of hell. In the world she was waited on by many slaves and servants and her mother’s kingdom was one of darkness. But Ortha was pure of heart and the most beautiful of woman to ever live, and though she was betrothed to one of Asmodai’s generals, a devil, she refused, and though they were nevertheless married, when her demonic husband and her were alone in their marriage chamber and he came to consummate the marriage, she killed him with a long floren she had torn from the bed (a large decorative sized nail) and fled out the window.
When Asmodai discovered, he was furious at his daughter, and sent his demons to pursue her and devour her for disobeying him. She fled across the land, finally being cornered in Alinor, where she slew many demons with her weapon, the floren, but Asmodai came to her and took up his burning sword to slay his rebellious daughter.
She defended herself against him for a day, but eventually, he overpowered her and meant to kill her, when God came down to earth and engaged the devil in a battle for her soul, (Due to this, and the fact that she was hell-born, it is the Orthian belief that by being pure of heart, anyone, even devils can be sent to heaven) Asmodai, being more powerful during these dark days on earth, wounded God greviously, but he seized Ortha and ascended with her to heaven.
There, Ortha attends to Gods grevious wounds, and wed him, becoming his consort, bride and healer, also known as the Maid of Heaven, or the Eternal Virgin.
(It's important to note, in a modern lens that this is all mythology, based off of what evolved from tribal stories over 1000 years ago when Rudair were still living in mud huts, and Redessa and Alinor were at the time under the control of two tribal kingdoms that did have a recorded issue of a botched marriage.)
Important concepts in Orthianism
God: The deity who created the earth from the bones and flesh of the Star-Whale. God is seen as unable to interfere in the mortal world any longer save for the rare Miracles, due to his wounds sustained saving Ortha.
Asmodai: God’s brother, who found the core of jealously and sin within the Star-Whale and became corrupted and evil. He is seen as unable to interfere with the mortal world any longer, due to his wounds sustained attempting to slay Ortha and God.
Saints: God’s vessels for change and great events. Saints are generally martyrs of some sort. There are 20 Saints, and each Mark has its own patron saint.
Witches: Evil women who make pacts with Asmodai and lie with demons for unholy powers
Warlocks: Evil men who make pacts with Asmodai and lie with demonesses for unholy powers
Angels: The knights of heaven, Archengels include Rafiel the Herald, Avarias, the Warrior and Junien, the Shepard
Demons: The knights of hell. Archdemons include Scamander the Defiler, Gorgath the General of Hell and Vanshanshesh the Witchlord
Hell: A realm where the villainous go and become the slaves and soldiers of Asmodai until they die in hell and are reborn on earth free of sin.
Heaven: An eternal realm among the stars, where the valorous go to live in wonder and exploration as God’s people, until they die in heaven and are reborn on earth free of sin.
Modern interpretations
It is believed that while to convert a heathen in peace is better, being slain by an Orthian cleanses one of sin and they live on in heaven unless they were despicably evil, in which case they go to hell to slave under the lash of demons until they die and are reborn.
Children are seen as completely innocent and pure and utterly free of all sin, as rebirth is seen as a way of wiping the slate clean and forgiving transgressions Places of worship are simply referred to as Temples.
Orthianism: the religion
Orthendom: Where the religion is practiced
Orthians: practicioners.
Pagans/Heathens: those who worship other gods Heretics: Those who have diverted from the mainstream religion enough that they must be put down through force to appease the clergy.
Ortha's Nail/Ortha's Floren: Ortha's weapon and the symbol of the religion. Usually stylized as a half-fleur-de-lis or a nail facing down.

And now….the house sheet (Also, take note, that if people do drop out of the game, that does not mean that their characters will disappear. They are simply forfeiting control over them, and they will become NPCs under my control, and attempt to pursue what goals they had beforehand and will still develop with the story. So just remember, if you do drop out, you lose control over your house, they don’t just die or disappear.)
FAMILY SHEET: PART ONE: THE CHARACHTERS
(READ BEFORE: For POv charachters, mention that this charachter is a POV charachters. There is no upper or lower limit, but try to keep it reasonable. If POV characters die, other family members can become POVs, at the discrecion of the GM)
Family name: Mark: Coat of Arms: (Image or description.) Marklord/Duke Name: Your duke’s name. Image/Description: What he looks like (Yes, he, there’s no female primogeniture) Age: How old he is biography: Duchess/Markess/Lady/Wife Name: (unless the marklord is unmarried) (IMPORTANT NOTE: if you want him to be married to someone from within the Mark, specify, and if you want them to be married to someone from without, specify, the same goes for a foreigner or another player’s relative) Image/description: Age: Biography: Children: (optional. IMPORTANT NOTE, children are an important resource, not only for marriage contracts and as wards and hostages. I highly advise that your character be married and have at least several children. If he dies, he’s got an heir (if any of them are male) and he also has the means to cement alliances by binding his family to another or sending a child as hostage. Daughters are generally seen as inferior, but when married off to another families male, that means the alliance is generally in their favor and they will be much more happily disposed towards you. Sons are seen as very important and can be married to the daughters of other families in your favour. There is no limit to children, but be reasonable. If you have 1 child, that’s quite odd, 3 to 6 is more acceptable for one wife, if you have married multiple times, perhaps 8, but that’s getting a little difficult to keep track of, and are old enough you can have upwards of twenty or thirty, though this would lead to massive amounts of backstabbing within the family)
Child’s name: Child’s Gender: Child’s Age: (age 7 for males is the age of your average page, 14 is a squire’s age and when they start going into battle. Anyone at age 14 or older can be knighted or married off.) Child’s appearance/Image: Child’s bio: (these are no doubt going to be shorter.)
(notes: if a person is a bastard (illegitimate) specify. If it is your lord, specify how he got to rise to power.
