6:54am,
Monday, Febuary 12th, 2016,
United Nations Carrier School Geneva, currently cruising the Atlantic.
The Supply ship had come in like any other, early morning on a Monday, ignored by those pepole who happened to be looking in that direction as it drew closer in the dawn light to the colossal bulk of the UNCS Geneva. A marvel of modern engineering, capable and quite happy to carry a city on its colossal flight deck, artificial mountains, forests, parks and fields. Underneath were the storehouses, farms, refineries and the industrial might of this Juggernaut, its heart and its lifeblood, that which allowed the Ship to not only run, but thrive.
What surprised most new visitors to a Carrier School was first its size, the human mind seemed to barley comprehend such a mass of metal floating and making such speed through the waves. insulated aginst waves and even storms by its colossal size. The second was how stable it was. If you lived and worked in or around the School complex that this whole ship had been built to house, you could very easily forget you were at sea at all, it had everything you needed and after a while could even become self reliant on the bare essentials.
The Geneva was a new ship, however, painfully so, and thus it relied on these inbound shipments of goods to cover the shortfall while it and its crew of residents got themselves used to the quirks and teething troubles of there new home.
A large shutter like door on the Geneva's Stern slid slowly open at the cargo ships's approach, the helmsmen of the larger ship ajusting the course by a few degrees, forward by look out via radio, so ensure the supplies weren't fighing against its wash, and the supply vessel slid neatly into the docking bay now revealed, it carried food, fuel, spare parts, various goods for the multitude of stores and restaurants that the residents simply couldn't live without.
It also carried something far more important, at least to one person.
"Alright, get them unhitched and fired up Grease Monkeys, Mount up and Move out!'
in the confined space of the Stern Docks, the steady rumble of the carrier School's engines were momentarily overwhelmed by the roar of smaller engines.

Lisa Mitchell was proud of her duties as Attendance Monitor, even despite the hassle getting up earlier than her fellows and ensuring not a speck of dust or a crease marred her Navy Blue uniform and that her Dark red hair was perfectly in line with school regulations as she compared the faces of all the students who passed to the list and pictures provided for her clipboard. She couldn't be expected to check the arrival of every student, just those who the facility felt needed special attention, poor attendance made the school look bad, and a bad school got no new freshmen, and no new freshmen meant the school would die.
So She was proud to be standing here so early and tired, ensuring that those on her list were at least trying to be on time. That was when she heard the rumbling.
Several other students heard it too and had to jump out of the way in shock as a massive and heavily battle-scared tank ramped up the main stairs, Huge turret rotating slowly towards the war machine's front and a woman with the Blue Beret of the Tankery club was yelling frantic orders to the driver inside the tank.
it sped towards her, a massive dark green beast off the chain, before it suddenly slowed, skidding slightly as it came to halt with its hull tapping Lisa's chipboard. the massive cannon was pointed over her head.
she was too buy trying to calm her heartbeat to notice the fact several smaller tanks were following this monster
"Jesus Christ, weaver!' the woman in the top hatch was yelling into the tank's interior, "open your damn eyes and your fat ears! I told you to unbutton your hatch when we got topside!"
A hatch just infront of the turet mantlet poped open and a sheepish face grined at the Attendance monitor.
"Sorry Cheif." he said meekly, 'didn't have my earpiece in."
"This is the last time you get your dirty hands on my baby's controls," the woman yelled - Lisa numbly reconised her as Catherine Dahlia, the tankery instructor- and climbed out of the turret to kick the driver in the side of the head, "i said Side entrance too, you idiot screw tightener."
"sorry Cheif." he replied, trying to shield himself from further kicks, "it must have fallen out."
"and now we have the rest of the Platoon right up our ass, so turning around is going to be a bitch." Cathrine continued, although she had stopped kicking and turned to regard the pale-faced girl that had recovered her wits enough to get out of the way of the tank and stand beside it.
"oh, Miss Mitchel. Good Morning.' she said, giving her driver another kick, "I'm sorry to have to do this, but it looks like i have to take my tanks past you and through the main concourse to get to the Tankery Depot. is that alright?"
Lisa nodded weakly, still staring at the T-29 heavy Tank and the Instructor beamed at her
"Thank you Miss mitchel, I'll be sure to hand this idiot over to you later for detention, perhaps then he'll learn to actually think while behind the controls of a 70 ton Machine."
Steel flower climbed back up to her hatch and picked up her micophone again, "Alright, all tanks, follow me, but take it slow, give everyone time to know we're coming and perhaps the factually won't tear me a new one for doing this, but hey, on the brightside it lets everyone know the Tankery Club is open for businesses. Driver, Advance, keep it below five kph."
"Affirmative Chief."
With the racket of their engines increasing in volume, the convoy moved into the grounds, Mrs Dahlia making apologetic gestures to her as she passed, and the muttering and laughter of her fellow students became more audible.
So Tankery was finally on the syllabus. she though to herself, and quietly marked all the students on her list as having arrived on time, then went to go have a lie down before class.
All players can now make an intro post, if you have crew already, feel free to include them in it, but as of this moment, you are not part of the Tankery club yet. This is your chance to show of your chracter a bit and get knowledge that the Tankery club will soon be looking for members. a prologue of sorts.
