Hey Guys,
Sometimes i get all these things in my head of wonderfull worlds, epic stories and Voluptuous Maidens. So here I am again trying to liberate my head from all these things by placing it on 'paper'. This is one of those... (My goal is to create a world in this story, one i hope that will come to life in your minds as well)
And now most people realise that i'm Sillyboy, and been away for some time, so here's a recap of what happened lately. I've quit my job at the Amusment Park and i am now a work supervisor for a few people with mental dissabillities. And a few Months ago i made a huge lifechange, and decided to live toghether with Sillygirl and our new beloved cat; Odin. ( I wanted; Sir james cobblesworth the third, but A norse God was the compromise).
So i hope you all enjoy this intro to my little piece of Fluff, and as always comments, critique are welcome.
( i apologize for any spelling mistakes, English is my second language and i don't yet have Word installed on this computer.)
The Path of Shin : Part I
It was a cold, dark night. Rain poured from the heavens as if it would never rain again. A hooded Man slowly made his way through the fields. His sturdy tread betrayed a life of hard labour. His scars hinted at his profession as did his grey hairs showed his age. His Tread fastened as he saw his destination glooming in the distance. A small hovel surrounde by acres of destroyed, molding wheat. The door squeaked as Greybeard entered. A young man sat infront of the raging fire. His sole company; botlles of cheap wine. The drunk glared at his newly arrived guest. "I guessed you vultures would come." he spat, pointing a threathening finger. Greybeard ignored the man's drunken words as his eyes found his prize. "They always come, helping. Pretending to be all enlightend. Providing a future." the man cried as he took another sip. "Path of Shin.*" he mumbled. Greybeard pulled down a blanket revealing a small child deep a sleep. Too young to walk, too young to remember. The man grinned as he saw that his trip wasn't in vain. He turned himself to the grieving man. "I am sorry for your loss, i am sure her goddes will embrace her as a child."
"She's gone." tears slowly made a way down. "I should've never declined the Tithe*." Greybeard didn't feel any pity for the man, his choises we're his own and now he would pay his price. The same way as greybeard had grown up. "I give you a chance for redemption." he proclaimed as he threw a small coinpurse infront of the grieving man. "Do you accept?" the man nodded as he placed his bottle down. He had no other choice, the Khalids* always came when you couldn't refuse. "what do you need from me?" "Say the words." greybeard commanded. The man nodded as he bowed down in front of Greybeard. Everyone in the world of Vel'tan new the words, they were whispered to each other in the shadows. Hoping no Khalidi* would hear the words, for they would be forever theirs.
"May his all be nothing, because nothing will be his all. May he forever walk the Path of Shin."
The ancient words of power and surrender vibrated through the Hovel, as if the gods had sealed the deal. "May your steps always walk the right path." Greybeard spoke as he bowed down to the man. Without further words Greybeard envelopted the child in a few blankets and took him in his arms. It would take a few days to meet up with his Khalid at the Eldan*. He would need to hurry if he wanted to be in time for the Shin'in*. The grieving man lloked at the coinpurse as his guest left his lands. The stranger had given him a new start. A borrowed start. And in time he would have to pay them back. "Goodbye my son, may your fortune be better than mine." He grabbed the bottle of wine and drank it empty in one fell sweep.
