Manual would be best IMO. It would be easier to sync the teleporter attack and the detonations

We probably could disable one of the stations with well placed krak missile.

I reckon Wark and Brobot should make the assault on the base seeing as they are the two best equipped for a close quarters fight, while the rest of us take a comms relay each. Does that sound good to you guys?

We probably could disable one of the stations with well placed krak missile. They're somewhat large, armoured buildings - after all they coordinate the important communications and information throughout the entire capital city - it would be a bit odd if one missile could disable something so vital (although it might do a bit of damage nonetheless, you couldn't be certain it'd be thoroughly taken out). Plus, you lot need to get in there and access the strategic data, which once uploaded to the orbiting vessels will give the battle company a vast advantage over the enemy - knowing the precise location and weaknesses of the entire enemy army (which is a sizeable force, that much is known). I figure that infiltration and planting high-yield explosives merely works best in this situation, hence the detpacks. Also, guys, take the initiative - if the game is slow or you aren't satisfied with the situation, move it on a bit or make something interesting or exciting happen. I'm hoping to have this game be a bit like games used to be in the old days, with players having a lot more control over the direction of the game and able to write developments or surprises or twists that might usually be covered only by a GM event. The overall structure of the mission is in place, so keeping that in mind means that you can all have a bit of fun without breaking the plot.

Well, i meant blowing up their their external radio antennas or whatnot, so they can't transmit anything rather than nuking the whole building but meh.

Perhaps although I imagine they'd have a few other failsafes. I mean if you guys wanted to take these things out in your own way then I'm sure you could come up with all sorts of interesting ideas. The explosives are there as a convenience though as it only requires getting in and out without needing to procure other resources or munitions, plus it lets you time the explosions if you want and ensures total destruction. This is the first mission after all and as such it's designed to be relatively straightforward for you guys. That's not to say there isn't any risk of course.. we'll have a few events along the road I'm sure.

I reckon Wark and Brobot should make the assault on the base seeing as they are the two best equipped for a close quarters fight, while the rest of us take a comms relay each. Does that sound good to you guys? I like the general idea, however, I have one stipulation. The HQ will definitely be the most heavily guarded part of the city besides the communication posts which will also most definitely be guarded. The best plan I can come up with is that when we enter the city we set up a rally point where everyone will meet after the explosives are set on the communication posts. Then we split up into three parts, one for each of the posts. Coolyo and Dev take one, Brobot and Castiel taking the other. Now, I don't want to sound like I'm trying to be a special snowflake here but that leaves Sev as the odd man out, he will have to infiltrate the last post alone, however, he is no mere scout, being a veteran sergeant and also a veteran of the Deathwatch. If there is any man on the team who would be able to infiltrate one of the commnication posts alone it would be him. Everyone meets at the rally point at the allotted time having set their explosives to go off at the same exact time in the future which gives the team between the time they meet up again and that time to get to the main base and begin the assault which is a whole other barrel of fish. Given that at this point the HQ is likely to be guarded by at the very least armored patrols, it will probably be necessary for part of the team to engage the enemy openly via a diversionary attack somewhere near the base that will draw enemies to them and away from the base itself, allowing the remainder infiltrate the base and deploy the beacon to signal the attack. after that its just a matter of conducting the battle with the rest of the company. Questions?
