Myself, Nepty and Klimino are going to begin work on a collaborative story soon, set during the 6-film saga that I'm sure everyone has seen. Things will probably turn out quite differently although ultimately still recognizable, however we don't actually have any specific plans for where this story will go exactly.
Anyway, here's what work I've done on my main character for this, one of two Jedi Knights (the other played by Nepty) who are sent to deal with the Trade Federation's blockade instead of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn. Klimino is going to play a roguish captain, likely involved with the Trade Federation somehow and getting involved in everything. Should be good fun. Stay tuned for more if you're a fan of SW and aren't bothered by us having a bit of fun with the story we all know and love.
Name: Keilara Kor'el-Sun
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Role: Jedi Knight [Guardian]
Homeworld: Naboo
Equipment:
- Jedi utility belt
- Two matched lightsabers, which can form a double-bladed lightsaber. Violet blade.
Keilara is a human from Naboo. Her force sensitivity became apparent at a very young age, although the discovery came in the form of disaster. During a family holiday exploring a cave network out in remote plains far from the capital city of Thebe, Keilara became trapped in an unstable tunnel when part of it collapsed.
As she fought to get free, feelings of great terror and distress resonated with her power, which was released uncontrollably. Although not yet strong in the force, this release was uncontrolled and enough to destabilize the tunnel even further. Her older brother and parents came to her aid and although she was retrieved, her father was knocked unconscious by falling rubble. Her mother urged them on and when the mouth of the cave was in sight she hurriedly turned back for her husband.
Her brother escaped the cave with Keilara before it completely collapsed, undoubtedly burying their parents. Taking responsibility, her brother ensured she kept what happened a secret and told authorities it had simply collapsed on its own. A Jedi happened to be in Thebes at the time and sensed her abilities. He sought her out at the country-house of her relatives where she had been relocated to after her father's death.
It was a quiet affair but it was quickly decided that being taken away to be trained by the Jedi Order was for the best. Again, seeking to protect his much younger sibling - for she was perhaps too young to fully understand at the time - Keilara's brother made sure she promised not to reveal anything about the day in the cave. He was also the one who convinced her to leave with the Jedi, despite her wanting to stay.
As she grew, both in age and force ability, the memory of inadvertently killing her parents festered away in the back of her mind like an unseen cancer. She was often restless and her sleep plagued by night terrors involving feelings of great terror and loss. Indeed, the truth had been repressed and buried underneath a childhood of intense training to become a Jedi.
The only way, she found, that she could be at peace was when training with a lightsaber. She could become one with the weapon, a single continuing motion, swift and deadly yet so controlled and calm. It brought clarity and in time, unlocked the memory of what she had accidentally caused as a young child.
The shock deeply affected Keilara yet she kept it hidden to the best of her abilities, concealing her emotions with the force. She increased her lightsaber training to the point where it was almost all she did outside of going on assignments with her master, where she often itched for a fight.
The training allowed her to come to terms with her past over time, however the damage had been done long ago. Nonetheless, she had a talent with the iconic weaponry of the Jedi which did not go unnoticed. She trained in both dual-wielding as well as double-bladed lightsabers, favoring the fearsome seventh form of lightsaber combat. She even studied Vaapad to an extent. For though it is one of the most difficult styles to learn, she came to favor it greatly. It required tremendous focus and the channeling of ones own force abilities in a dangerous manner to aid combat, yet this came naturally to her after already having devoted so much practice into doing this, albeit in a way that was so much less refined when limited to the more regular forms.
Over the years that followed, Keilara became greatly skilled in all of the lightsaber forms, yet the seventh always remained her favorite. To her, lightsaber combat had become more than just fighting. It was a precious art, a dance, a purity of purpose. Despite the Jedi code, she was deeply passionate about it. In many ways it became what she lived for. It was not about victory over opponents or prestige, although she came to earn both. It was the serenity she discovered.
As her training progressed, her more reckless and often provocative nature was tempered with experience, though her training took longer than usual before the council was satisfied she was ready to become a Jedi Knight. Sometimes her frustration and agitation was mistaken for being uneasy about being held back and although this was true to an extent, she had managed to hide the real reasons behind this from her master even after so long.
He did know that there was something dark in his apprentice however and it was easily recognizable to any Jedi who observed her as a student, though the severity of the matter remained unclear. There was one night however, where Keilara - now a young woman - was confronted by her master. Activating his lightsaber, he forced her to duel. It was no mere sparring session and they fought as if they truly meant it.
As their swords clashed, Keilara's master proved that he knew her better than she had thought and unnerved her, broke her focus in the fight. It was during the duel that he finally discovered the truth, as her calm collapsed and the hidden feelings were revealed. Great anger at herself, as well as the sheer loss was all revealed.
Though her master wished only to understand and help, he almost suffered for what he had unleashed. Keilara, in a fit of rage, quickly disarmed and nearly gave into the dark side by slaughtering her defenseless mentor. She did not fall, however, and after this event her master was able to teach her greater control of the darkness within.
In time, he was satisfied that she could trust herself as well as be trusted. While there remained a distinct danger after how close she had come to the dark side, her master finally believed her ready for the trials. Keilara completed these in due course and as such the council raised her to the rank of Knight.
In the present day, three years since the completion of her training, Keilara has distinguished herself a few times, although she feels like she is something of an outcast in the Order. Her skill at fighting is no secret, yet it is more than that. She is known to walk close to the dark side of the force, even if most do not know the details, that in and of itself makes many wary of her.
Yet the council does not believe it wise for her to be alone and until recently, she still journeyed with her old master, though he has since taken on a new apprentice who requires his attention.
