Nice!
I'll add it to the list.
So you are commanding a couple of other political officers strewn across the regiment?

Look's like Kruger will end up being the short one in officer cadre.
On other note, our artillery detachment seems to be pretty low on guns but eh.

Yes it's an infantry regiment. For heavier support, dedicated Artillery Regiments within the crusade will be put to use. The artillery detachment in this regiment is for when dedicated artillery regiments are not around. (*plotting*)
Also, can all participants write up and post their character sheets if this didn't happen yet?
I believe we only have 1 more opening to fill, the 2d company which is also an assault company, doesn't have a commander yet.
Maybe we could start sooner with having the Lady Commissar commanding the 2nd company. then it would be like she shot the previous commander out for some itty bitty reason, and a replacement hasn't been approved yet? makes for a faster start of the RP

Nice! I'll add it to the list. So you are commanding a couple of other political officers strewn across the regiment? I suppose it depends on the size of the regiment and if they have had any problems with discipline before. Otherwise i guess it'd just be her. Edited the sheet by the way to make a reference to her Close combat style. Yes it's an infantry regiment. For heavier support, dedicated Artillery Regiments within the crusade will be put to use. In the case you suggested, a LT would be beveted up to Captain and a Sargent to LT, the actual promotion would wait until the minsitorm could approve the change. A commissar's duty is t oversee command decisions, and ensure that the Regiment is fit to fight the Emperor's wars. If you're all eager to start, you could NPC the Company untill a player is found, then kill of the captain and promote the new player. Just my Two Thrones.

Good point. I'll wait a couple of days then. Some players still need to get the char sheets up as well. And there's no bonus points in rushing it

*Note to self, do not stare at commissar's chest. Also do not stare commissar in the eyes, nor the face... just don't look in the general direction of the commissar. but what is she orders to to pay attention?

Forum name: Halonachos
Character name: Frederick Kraye
Commanding officer of: 3rd Company
Background: Frederick Kraye was never much of a natural born leader, in his youth he was never the leader of his group of friends nor did he ever try to be so. He was very much happy in his position among the rank and file of society. His family came from average stock as well, not well known outside of their community nor hated within as they ran the local market selling only approved goods. Frederick didn't want to live the life his family had and decided to join the only group that truly defined "rank and file", the Imperial Guard. He soon took a liking to work with the basic lasguns and expressed interest in perhaps working in a lascannon crew, he became a man obsessed with learning about these large weapons and soon entered work as a member of a heavy weapon squad. To him there was nothing else like the sound of the belching heavy bolter or the smell of ozone from the lascannon. He quickly pointed out things that he wanted to see cease in existence, usually due to how large of a target it was. Some time into his career he managed to become a captain in charge of his own company of like-minded individuals.
Age:34
Height: 5'10
Equipment: Flak armor with helmet, laspistol, and Entrenching tool.
Appearance: Short brown hair, somewhat muscular build from carrying equipment around. Wears standard pattern helmet due to fear of enemy snipers learned from when he received his promotion to sergeant.
Other: Enjoys long walks to clear his head and has a serious sweet tooth.

Dont be so sure, Dev. As it were you and Silence's character are the same height. Forum name: Wark Character name: Jory Cutter Commanding officer of: 4th Company. Background: Jory is a native to the forests of Thracia where his family made their living as foresters and hunters. Therefore, from a young age Jory learned the essentials needed to navigate and survive in the wilderness. Despite his rustic nature that came as a product of living in a remote region, his skills were deemed valuable in his mandatory stint in the planetary PDF. He would go back to civilian life for many years after that but with each passing year it became obvious to him that the only really successful thing he had done was serve in the military. After several failed tries involving starting his own business and family, he decided that the ordinary life was not for him. He missed the regimented way of the PDF and the comrades he once had. Jory reenlisted at a much older age and proved his worth to his commander as a scout. From there, his skill and grasp of tactics gained him the rank of a noncommissioned officer in the PDF. Shortly after the planet was called upon to start founding a new regiment. The regimental officers looking for promising recruits immediately saw potential in Sergeant Cutter and he was transferred into the new regiment. Years of battle followed and now Jory finds himself the officer of his own company of guardsmen, granted rank by the virtue of his proven skill through survival.
Age: 36
Height: 5' 7 Equipment: Custom scoped lasgun, camo cloak, preysense goggles, stub revolver, flak armor, assorted grenades, micro bead, close combat weapon Appearance: ThisJory is a short and stout man; gaunt and shaggy around the face with wiry black hair forming the short, thick beard he keeps. His eyes are steel grey and his nose is flat and seems to have been broken a few times in his life. Other: Jory's lasgun butt broke during some of the regiment's first combat. He is somewhat famous within the regiment for crafting a new buttplate for the weapon out of a chunk of Thracian hardwood he found somewhere.

Nice characters. I've edited them in the list.
If Warrrender gets his sheet up, we can start. 2nd Company Commander will be an npc untill someone joins the RP to take his place.

Forum name: Warrender Character name: Reymond Stark Commanding officer of: Artillery Company. Age: 36 Height: 5'7" Equipment: Las-pistol, flak armour, 3 frag grenades, vox caster. Background: Reymond wasn't always in the Artillery Company and like most Imperial Guard had started life as a simple infantry soldier. It was during an attack from a Dark Eldar raid that Reymond's true colours caught the attention of commanding officers. Having taken charge of the few surviving groups of mortar crews, Reymond managed to co-ordinate a mass barrage against specific points and while only the initial bombardment managed to catch the enemy mid charge, the sheer scale of concentrated bombardment in key locations forced the Dark Eldar to rethink their plan of attack and gained enough time for the Imperial Guard to rally and hold the line until reinforcements arrived. When the commanding officers surveyed the scene of devastation that had been so well concentrated they promoted him and transferred him in the Artillery Company. Although his exterior gives the impression of a caring and friendly man, his attitude towards combat shows a cold calculating side of him where he will stop at nothing until his enemies have been lambasted to pieces under sheer quantity of firepower from the skies. Appearance Other: Reymond is often found yelling "Die! Die! Die!" as his artillery fires its guns and makes any soldier a little uneasy when stood next to him when doing so.
