Standing alone where she had been left by the door, Lucy wrung her hands and glanced around nervously while inside she was examining the other rooms occupants, their weapons and wasn't impressed, nor sure why she had bothered to come, her skills would be of little use and she had no desire to reveal her true nature to anyone.
Oh she could help with the plan, she could see some rather glaring flaws, and knew how to formulate plans both simple and complex when it came to her trade. but "Lucy" was a ladies maid and had no reason to know what she did. Still if they failed, she'd have to find and integrate herself in with another group and she had little time to spare before she was missed by her fellow servants in her Target's household.
Lucy sidled over to where Stubbs was drinking against the wall, allowing any who glance over at her to see her shudder as she passed the box of weapons, he knew, or at least suspected the truth, that made him an ally but also a target if he looked like he would reveal information she did not want public.
"erm, excuse me." she said meekly, effortlessly slipping into the mask, "I bring word from my Master, in regards to the earlier plan you had me send him."
It was code and he knew it, hopefully he would pick up on her desire to remain un-remarked or she would have to kill everyone in this room and that would set back her plans.
Still acting the demeaned and downtrodden servant, she clasped her hands before her and waited with a nervous shudder to be acknowledged, the movment causing a subtle shift of her shoulders and slid a blade down her arm a fraction of an inch. it never hurt to be prepared.

"Your father's dead? I'm sorry to hear that." Elina said. Her own father had always been a little distant and busy, but that was to be expected from a man with six kids and a wife to feed. At least he wasn't dead.

"No shit, eh?" Was Karus' simple response to Sten's story about the PDF. He didn't blame the man for deserting. When he was younger he'd considered the PDF as a means of income for his family but decided in the end that he was too stubborn to take orders and too prideful to be someone else's tool. He believed Sten when he said that the PDF had been used to shoot civilians, Karus had experienced first hand what people on the high spire payroll did for their positions.
"My story ain't so great really." He said, drawing another pull from his lho stick. "Did some stuff a long time ago, got thrown in the pigpen for a while." He explained, taking a moment to cough out a bit of smoke that got lodged in his throat. He dropped the stub of the lho stick that was left and ground it under his boot out of habit. Whenever he started coughing, he knew it was about time to quit for the day.
"Prison's not as bad as some people think." He said after a moment of looking around to see that the others had split up into small groups like himself and Sten. The self proclaimed kill virgin was busy praying with the guy who looked like he might have been from offworld. The servant girl was talking to Stubbs for some reason; something about her was a little off to Karus but he couldn't put his finger on it so, like most things he couldn't figure out, he stopped caring.
"You just gotta know how to work the system." He gave Sten a knowing smile before shrugging. "Then the dumb shits let me go. I learned a little while later that it was because some clerk somewhere along the line made a mistake on a piece of paper and off I went." His face became an expression of disgust. "Can you imagine? Letting monsters like me out onto the streets just because someone don't feel like doing their job? And whats to say they don't do that with...the hive's generators for example? Few more years of this high hive bullshit and someone's going to get this entire city blown to oblivion." He scoffed. "Not like that would be much worse than it is now." He waved his hand dismissively. "Eh, fuck it all. I spent a few years running in one gang or another and then out of the blue Stubbs asks me if I want to do anything about those pigs. So..." He made a sweeping gesture with both of his hands. "Here I am, one of the many fucked up cogs in this...whatever we are. Frankly, I'm just hoping it lasts long enough for me to cap a few pigs while we're out here."

"I'm all into this shit." Sten replied. "We can change things around here."
Sten Put his feet on the bunk and laid down, not even bothering to take his boots off.
"I hope we don't run into PDF soon. I served the PDF, and I know some guys who still do. They're good blokes, they just do it to earn some credits for their family."
Sten paused and sighed.
"Guess I'll have to. If those guys haven't got the right idea by now, they're just as bad as those high-spire bastards."
He closed his eyes, fatigue started to dawn on him.
"The only concern I have is how it'll pan out tomorrow. A lot of Arbites equipment have serial numbers, and are easy to track. We'll need someone who can remove the tracking device from the gear we take off 'em."
With that Sten stopped talking, and moments later he was fast asleep.

As Lady had thought she couldn't sleep and she was bored too. She groaned this would be a long night, gradually she forced herself to sit and removing her untidy mop of brown hair from her eyes, she rubbed them gently removing any sleep that may remain.
"Anyone any good with card games?" She asked the assembled group as she retrieved a pack from the depths of her pocket. "Perhaps fancy playing a few? It would help pass the time"

Danter spotted the young lady who had walked in along with him and another, as she went over to talk to Stubbs thoughts started to swim through his mind. Was she talking about him? Did she know something about him that he had refrained from telling Stubbs? His mind continued to do cartwheels, fighting as one side tried to convince him that she was painting him as a double-crosser, the other trying to make him see reason, that he was thinking about it too much. He’d never seen this woman before in his life, how could she possibly know him.
Finally he could take no more of the doubt crawling across his mind as he painfully split yet another nail. Gliding from his perch in the corner he walked slowly, purposefully across the room, trying to act as normal as possible. He saw Stubbs saying something back to the woman but he had no way of knowing what he was saying to her.
As he stepped up next to them he gave a courteous nod to the woman before directing his attention to Stubbs “Looks like we’re all here, so unless there’s something … erm … you need me for .. um .. I’ll go get some sleep”
He half lied, although he intended to go lay down ready for an early start he knew he’d be unable to sleep with all these questionable people surrounding him. A part of him wondered if he had made a mistake, that he should slip out in the dead of night and forget all about this like it was nothing but a bad dream.

At least he wasn't dead. "Aye. One of the reasons I'm fighting the gov" Smiling grimly, he glanced down at the grimy floor "We were always kinda middle class. Not hive-scum as those ponces up there call us, but not nobles either. Da didn't like how they treated the lower levels and went to start a petition with his guild. They were...all dead the next morning" He sighed, shaking his head and leaning back on his bunk "We'll eventually take them down though...for da, for everyone"

"erm, excuse me." she said meekly, effortlessly slipping into the mask, "I bring word from my Master, in regards to the earlier plan you had me send him." It was code and he knew it, hopefully he would pick up on her desire to remain un-remarked or she would have to kill everyone in this room and that would set back her plans. Still acting the demeaned and downtrodden servant, she clasped her hands before her and waited with a nervous shudder to be acknowledged, the movment causing a subtle shift of her shoulders and slid a blade down her arm a fraction of an inch. it never hurt to be prepared. Cocking an eyebrow, Stubbs took another swig from the bottle before setting it down on the counter and standing straight. He looked around, considering this for a moment, before returning his gaze to the shorter woman. He thought woman, rather than girl, because if what little he'd managed to piece together from scraps of datacode that he'd managed to acquire from one of his contacts higher in the hive, this was no more a servant girl than the Adepta Sororitas full of tavern wenches. "What does your master think of the plan then?" Stubbs answered, folding his arms as he leant back on the wall and regarded this woman with renewed scrutiny. Then Danter approached, skittish as usual. “Looks like we’re all here, so unless there’s something … erm … you need me for .. um .. I’ll go get some sleep.” "You do that," Stubbs said, chuckling quietly for a moment as the LT awkwardly turned to leave, murmuring quietly to himself under his breath. Although he hadn't known the man personally, he'd heard of him during his time in the PDF. The massacre of the 507th was a fading story, but had been a hot topic for all of a few weeks at the time. Stubbs reminded himself to have a word with Danter and the other ex-Guard members of the resistance at a later date. There were things to discuss and their shared service would become important... of that, he had no doubt. It was also why he was reluctant to hit the PDF, although there was more to it than simple sentiment. He was prepared to do whatever necessary to see his cause through to the end of course, but there were also good reasons for the decision. He snapped his mind back to the immediate situation. There'd be plenty of time to finalise future plans in, well, the future. Firstly he had to ensure this rag-tag band of freedom-fighters survived their first operation tomorrow. But even more presently, was the intriguing woman before him, dressed in servant's garb and quaintly looking up at him. Yet there was something about her that put him on edge and he'd learned to trust his gut instinct long ago.

So far Uriel was unimpressed with the discipline shown by these rag tag recruits. Most of them had just headed for the bunks without a thought for safety. Aside from Stubbs and some other serving girl, he was alone in the main room. He leaned against the wall, shotgun close to hand and prepared to take the first watch of the night. He'd expected the ex-military men to be a bit more cautious. Maybe he was just paranoid, but if they were setting up a resistance to the ruling council then he felt it was only prudent to make sure that they weren't caught fomenting rebellion. No matter, he would wake one of the others to take over later.
