While the other acolytes recovered, Titus took the chance to speak with the Inquisitor for a moment.
"I know the situation is dire but before we all go storming off to fix this mess, there's something I need to know." Titus turned his one eyed gaze to Inquisitor Severine as he adjusted one of his bandages. "Ever since Captain Thaddeus first reported the murder aboard the ship I have wondered what taint could have affected whatever bastard is doing this. The only variable I can think of that might have penetrated the sanctity and security of an Inquisitorial vessel is the one object that you brought aboard, Inquisitor. You know I hate to pry on Inquisitorial secrets but our circumstances may no longer leave the luxury for them. So tell me, Madam Inquisitor, just what is the nature of that thing you brought aboard this vessel and set the heaviest of guards around, should we be concerned about its security in the wake of these attacks, and most importantly do you think it may somehow be responsible for them?"
Severine considered for a moment. "I would be surprised if that were the case, however there are numerous unknown possibilities surrounding the cargo. As for its nature, it would be perilous to reveal such information to you. Its security is my utmost priority - as you noted, I have assigned the finest warriors at my command to guard it. Whether its presence is directly related to the unfolding events at hand, I do not know. However, I am assuming nothing at this juncture. If some manner of insidious corruption or heretical infiltration is present, then we will do what we must to safeguard the safety of the cargo. It must be returned to Dominus station at any cost. Should I be incapacitated, then you are ordered to guard it with your life and ensure it reaches the Inquisition."

As soon as their wounds were tended to, Inquisitor Severine gathered her acolytes. Battered but not beaten, weary yet resolute, all eager to hunt down the heretics responsible for their current predicament. Severine eyed them up and down briefly, before giving her orders.
"Commander Thaddeus is currently overseeing a full damage report of the ship, drawing up a roster of crew casualties, and securing all decks. However, there is much for us to do.
The bridge is aflame and the barrier between the warp and realspace is thin. Nicholas, you are to dispel this vulnerability and oversee restoration of the bridge to functionality. A team of engineers, hazard servitors and the ships complement of Astropaths are awaiting you at the bridge.
Enginseer Victora, take Krill and Serasti as escort, and discover what manner of disruption has afflicted the Consul's sacred systems. Your primary objective is to restore main power at all costs. I have contacted the engine room yet received no response and internal augurs indicate that the engine room is in manual lockdown. If you cannot coerce the machine spirit into opening it, then Emperor forgive us I authorise you to use controlled explosives.
Should the necessity to implement this contingency arrive, then it shall be overseen by Garris due to his expertise. Garris, you shall go to the forward armoury and requisition a high-yield melta charge on my authority. I also bid you equip yourself with heavier weaponry, for I fear you may soon need it. Judge Titus, accompany him and requisition a replacement suit of armour. You will be of no use in combat if a stray las bolt can fell you."
