Source. As a site of writers, I think we can all appreciate this man's work and will recognise the significance of his loss in the world of writing.

A tragic loss, his work contains many fond memories for me. Rincewind and the Luggage, Captain Vimes, the wee free men and the Librarian are all incredible and unique characters that shaped much of my interest in fantasy. The Discworld was a truly wonderful place. I will miss his work.

Oh man. I have always been a major discworld fan and not a month goes by that I hope for another book from him. A tragedy and he will be missed.

Living in a town without a bookstore my entire life I've never had the pleasure of reading Pratchett's works, however it is sad to see an author of his reputation die.
RIP

Tribute to a great Man. Living in a town without a bookstore my entire life I've never had the pleasure of reading Pratchett's works, however it is sad to see an author of his reputation die. RIP I can't recommend the books enough. Start with Colour of Magic and go from there, but the great thing about the series is that while yes they do have a order, they are pretty much standalone. EDIT: Books, not games Derp

I, like Cash, have not yet had the pleasure of reading the work of Mr. Pratchett but I have long heard of them from my fellow readers and I have long been aware of many quotes from the late Mr. Pratchett which seem to bear a lot of wisdom.
The world seems to have lost a bright mind today.

'"AT LAST, SIR TERRY, WE MUST WALK TOGETHER." Terry took Death's arm and followed him through the doors and on to the black desert under the endless night.
The End'
- From Terry Pratchett's twitter today.
Rest in peace, Sir Terry.
I'm going to go get my hands on as many of his books as I can.

For those interested in starting the series, its missing a few of the newer books though, and you can always read them in whatever order you want.
