I think Falk, like Rook, views this as a one way trip too, so if there is an opportunity to slow the orks or create a lemmings style waterfall of them over a gap in the stairs he'd be setting about it.

I feel like I should mention again that the waters surrounding the citadel island are acidic/toxic waste as it was only described awhile back, but could end up being useful information.

Nice post Warork, definitely going to lead to some fireworks that's for sure.
Unless anyone else wants to add anything or do any quick character interaction I'll probably post something tomorrow.
Oh and I'd love a little list/description of your many NPCs warork if you have time .. can hardly keep track of them all in my mind and I don't want to get any details wrong right at the end of it all.

Thanks, Darko. Yeah I figure we've gotten this far by the grace of maximum firepower, shouldn't fix what's not broken, right? As for my NPCs, there were originally just four but now five with the addition of the militiaman from the bunker. Mendez: Tan skinned, dark haired, very young (like 17 or 18), basically a whiteshield waaaaaay the fuck in over his head. Jagah: Dark skinned, braided dreadlocks of dark hair, always seems to be cracking jokes and loves killing orks more than life itself Wulf: Rook's second in command and the group's senior NCO. Fair skinned with brown hair, has an eyepatch from a wound he received earlier in the campaign, a professional no nonsense soldier but has known Rook long enough to be really familiar around him. DuCreaux (Crow): Pale skinned, red haired, the team medic with sticky fingers and a standoffish attitude. Eternally side eyeing everyone he meets.
EDIT: Whoops forgot Kappan: Blotchy skin (for living on an irradiated hellhole like Caedis I guess?) and bleached hair. Was a laborer in a munition workshop before the invasion and got pressed into a militia when it all went tits up. Panicky and cowardly but damn does he know how to cross wires and tinker with shit like any self respecting devotee of the machine god.

I'm assuming they all pretty much just have lasguns for the most part or did they grab some other gear along the way? Other than the heavy bolter just mentioned.

I had em grab carapace breastplates and hellguns inside the armory of the bunker way back when but you're free to write them with whatever, Emperor knows they've all cycled through all kinds of weapons during this fuckfest

What's the area around the bottom of the elevators like, apart from half filled with explosives? Is there tunnels leading away and if so which way is the Magis going?

We'll probably find out when we get to the bottom. We do need to move away from the lift in any case unless you wanna be caught under a tsunami of rocks and dismembered orks, lmao.

At the bottom is death, at the top is death.
I like how Lucinda is the most optimistic so far and everyone else is like "Well we're fucked."

Yorck, Rook, and Falk have all seen enough to know this is likely the end of a one way trip.
I guess Lucinda thinks the machine god will save her...somehow. And tbh the machine god has a bullshit bag of tricks anyway so she's probably right.
