Keep in mind that these things are about as tough as you are and anything other than a headshot or pretty much annihilating them entirely won't do a whole lot to them.

Not to mention there could be hundreds of the things or worse in the tunnels. I say we fight as few of them as possible as quietly as possible and move on, leaving the mutants as a distraction. No sense in losing men and resources now that we might need later.

Posted, somebody think fast!
Sneaky is all well and good, but for moments where sneak cannot be a thing, fast action shall have to do.

Interesting, goes to show that sometimes everything does not go quite according to plan. Also, take note everyone, mixing it up a little now and then by adding to the story or causing some kind of event to happen (within reason) is perfectly okay in this game, in fact I encourage it.

So much for subtlety then....
So we're trapped in a collapsing chamber with plague zombies. Krak missile to the bit of roof blocking the door? Or maybe a fallen pillar and out through the roof?

Well a krak missile is as much of a precision weapon as you can get with a missile launcher, it doesn't cause large explosions rather it is built to penetrate thick armour at a single point. So I think to clear the heavy rbble you'd need to use at least one or two detpacks but that also requires getting clesr of the area and that means going through the plague zombies anyway after fighting them off long enough to set the explosives.

We do have a lascutter, so we probably could cut our way through with it.

Possibly but it would take a long time I'd expect, it's meant for cutting through doors and stuff generally made of metal rather than a great big rubble heap made of space concrete or whatever.
Hell you could probably dig your way through given enough time seeing as you are astartes but under the circumstances getting the hell out of dodge a-sap seems like the best option.

I set up an option for up and out using a pillar in my post if that seems good to everyone. we'd need to fight our way through some zombies of course, but probably a better option than trying to hold off the swarm while setting charges or digging.
