Matthew Hale Cort was raised in a middle class british-asian-american family in Washington DC for much of his life until the age of 13, when his parents moved to Swansea, Wales. They lived in Swansea until Matt was 19, whereupon he entered college in the US, in Augsburg, Minnesota. He attended college, receiving a degree in medieval and classical history. However, soon before graduating college, he had a falling-out with his father, who was displeased by the career Matt wanted -a college professor of medieval history. Exactly what happened is unknown, but evidence points to a physical brawl between Matthew and his father) evidently he graduated college, receiving his degree, then changed his name legally to his mother's branch of the family's surname, DeBohun and went to live with his recently divorced uncle, William "Bill" DeBohun, a teacher of film studies in Viridian Bay High School. For reasons unknown, but speculated to be some sort of personal dilemma, Matthew joined the Viridian Bay police Force at 23. He served out his cadet period, but only four months after being given a full commission as a beat cop, he answered a break-in call and was attacked by a werewolf burglar, which he managed to subdue, non-lethally after she attacked. The very next day, in what must have been the worst stroke of luck ever, he was assigned to be part of a SWAT unit to take down a serial killer who just happened to be an unregistered vampire. He managed to subdue this one as well, arresting him non-lethally. For his actions he was offered special training and promotion into the Metahuman Police Department. He is not a member of PETME, but is a self-identified liberal, regularly donates blood as a 'feeder', and is currently not in the dating scene, and most of his money goes to support his 12 year old sister's schooling -not the biggest turn on for potential dates. He's never killed anyone and is looking to move into his own flat, perhaps with a roomate. He has a strong dislike of needles and is un-immunized. He is a fatalist.

Background: Born into a wealthy family, Victoria - or Kat to her friends - has never gone without. She has always been provided for. She lived a comfortable life growing up, attending only the finest of private schools. Her intelligence and knowledge has always been her greatest asset and truth be told, she could have any job she wanted between her own abilities and her family's connections.
So why did she join the MRPD? Not for the money, that's for sure. She could have had a job with a far higher pay grade, but with her family's fortune to fall back on if all else fails, her ambition isn't to try and be wealthy. Instead, she wants to do something riveting. Her life has always been comfortable and easy. This work is both challenging and dangerous, a combination that entices her.
There's no doubt about it however: others see her as a snobby, upper-class spoiled brat. Everything from her name, the way she speaks, even the way she walks and presents herself screams posh. Many others in this line of work are here by feats and experience, whereas she is here through a long list of recommendations and has no prior experience. The fact that her family made a sizeable donation to the MRPD around the time she signed up is purely coincidental, of course.

Bio: Turned shortly after the outbreak of the war at the age of 18. April was forced to adapt quickly against an enemy that would kill her without thought for simply existing as what she had become, as such the first kill happened as self defence and hunger, after that it only become easier to cave into the wolf instincts. Following the peace treaty with the humans and introduction of human-flesh substitute, April like many others adapted to it and 'rehabilitated'.
Following the end of the war, April joined the police as a way to relieve boredom through hunting criminals rather than her now banned prey.

Bio: The man known as Alex Thorne was born Aleski Torinov to Eastern Ukranian parents in the year 1960. His father was ethnically Russian by his mother was mainly Chechen. His father was part of the Communist party during the Soviet regime and had fought in World War II before returning home to start a family. The one thing he taught Alex more than any other lesson was that his country had provided everything for his family to live and so he owed his service to his country in whatever way he thought best. With this in mind, when he turned nineteen he enlisted in the army and was soon trained and sent to Afghanistan to participate in the Soviet invasion there. He grew up very fast there, having to learn hard truths and lessons about life while he and his comrades fought a relentless foe. There in the deserts and mountains of Afghanistan he was transformed after years of being rotated to and from the front from a bright faced and eager pawn of the party to another cynical and jaded cog in a horrible meat processor that was the Afghan-Russian war. While he was on deployment his father was imprisoned for his criticism of the ruling party and the war in general and Alex never saw him again. His mother went into a depression she never recovered from and died about a decade later. Unfortunately for Alex he had brought home with him more than just bloody memories. Somewhere in the chaotic battles his unit had fought against insurgents he was attacked and nearly killed by a savage beast; a werewolf, a beast of legend and myth that would not be recognized for decades to come.
So Alex returned home, both scarred and cursed. In the next few years his family either died or lost contact with him and he drifted fairly aimlessly until he was re-employed by the new Federal government in the late nineties to help special army units fight in Chechnya because of his heritage. After this period, Alex swore to himself that he would never again fight in another war. He was content with his wanderings until the supernatural wars that popped up years later and despite his efforts to the contrary, he was involved in more than a few violent incidents during those battles.
It was sometime between these wars that Alex moved to the US and legally changed his name in order to sound more native. The supernatural wars continued, however, and eventually a combination of frustration and despair at seeing the destruction wrought by this violence inspired Alex to take action. He took it upon himself to become a vigilante of sorts and for a few years wore a symbol borrowed from an old comic book character with the same intentions. He was never caught but a friend of his who was an officer of the law eventually caught on and convinced Alex that what he was doing was not the way to pursue justice. Alex decided to stay in Veridian and become an officer of the law, eventually becoming a part of the force after scoring decent marks in training. For a while, his job satisfied him until his friend was killed as part of a metahuman terrorist attack on a police station in which he was one of the officers killed in the line of duty. Enraged by his friend's death and angry at himself for not being able to stop things like this from happening, when he heard about openings in a branch of the metahuman police division, Alex was one of the first ones to volunteer.

Bio: Cade's upbringing was typical of an American teen. He got good grades and when he was 18 won a full ride scholarship to Viridian Bay University through a writing competition. Midway through his sophomore year however, Cade's academic career came to a halt when he was kidnapped by a vampire-supremacist organization called the Crimson Fangs. Cade was turned as part of the organization's grand plan to create a society of vampires, but shortly after his kidnapping the MRPD lead a mass arrest that shut the Crimson Fang's Viridian Bay chapter down. Although free, Cade initially did not cope well with the loss of his humanity. After a failed suicide attempt he was put into group therapy and eventually came to terms with his vampirism. Now he joins the MRPD as a way of preventing fates like the one that befell him from happening to other innocents.

Appearance: 5”11. To a lot of men, Valeriya would appear as the definition of beauty itself, and that is probably the trait that makes her so deadly. With a dominant yet flirtatious attitude, this Vampire prides herself on her ability to lure men to their graves… or just to the interrogation room.
Bio: Valeriya was born in what back then was then medieval north-eastern Russia, in the Kievan Rus’ period, to a relatively poor family who struggled to survive, and with brothers who were so deprived of food and sexual contact, that they would rather rape and perhaps eat their sister rather than care for her. However, her salvation came by rather strange means… during the Mongal invasion of Russian lands, when she was barely 21 years old, her family was nearly wiped out save for her. As she ran from raiders left and right, fresh from the murder of everyone she had known, she managed to find her away straight into the arms of a tall, pale man in dark clothing. This shadowy figure hid her from the raiders, and took her into his home, that seemed to be hidden away from the rest of the world. She never remembered which morning it was that she woke to bloody holes in the side of her neck, and the beginning of a new life. The man never spoke about himself-never even told her his name- but he taught her about everything there is to an immortal life, and about how to best have use her latest “gift”.
Throughout the ages since, Valeriya has moved around a lot, accumulating riches, and having the most fun she could at any given moment, often partying with fellow Vampires of the upper class, revelling in her immortality all the while. Until fairly recently, she had been involved with Russian paramilitary forces, before deciding to move once more, and take part in a new group. And thus, she becomes one of the newest recruits to a police taskforce…

Bio: Born in the growing industrial power of Germany Anton did not have the joy of being born into a Rich family not even one that could bring in a steady income, his father died after being crushed by heavy machinery, his mother a prostitute and his twelve other brothers and sisters trying to survive on Berlin's city streets.
When Anton was 18 he joined the army to get off the streets but nothing really changed, people talking down to him only one set of cloths but the brighter side was food and a bed which he loved. He stayed in the service for another 20 years until one day he was sent to Samoa to help train local forces but that was where it all change, one evening while on a patrol around the perimeter he came across a local attacking a young soldier and in response opened fire but his weapon had no effect on him, the man charged forward and bite into Anton's shoulder but the local paid for it with a bayonet to the heart killing him.
After they attack Anton was returned to Germany with a medal for service but as something new a Vampire. He stalked the night in Berlin's streets feeding on criminals and the homeless but was hunted by many forcing him to leave Berlin and into the country side. When the First and Second World war came into play Anton followed his country in combat but on his own, taking the Uniforms from dead German troops and warring with Allied forces at night claiming many kills and spoils of war.
After every war he fought in Anton grew a heavy heart thinking about the people he had killed and the pleasure he felt in doing so from then on he hunted his evil: mortal or otherwise and so he has for all this time.

So first things first.
Viridian Bay: City sitting on the northwest coast of the United states, populated in 5 major city areas by varying degrees of species. The city was founded during the Unity Wars in order to house both Werewolf and Human populations within the same city limits, albeit with strict control on access to neighboring Burroughs. The five Burroughs are now interconnected and also contain an element of the Vampire species, most citizens utilize the expansive ferry system established in the bay to ensure ingress and egress of large trading vessels by way of eliminating the need for a large bridge to connect North Point and Southbridge. Over the years, the preestablished cordons were slowly demolished leaving major gaps between these neighborhoods and constantly reminding the citizens of Viridian Bay of the past when large walls created portions of no-man's land between each burrough. City councilors are skeptical about allowing building permits that would place large structures in these spaces as there were wide-spread rumors of various traps and mines placed in these spaces. No councilor has yet been adventurous enough to gamble their career by letting someone build a house on the "perfectly good" land.
North Point: Home of major trading port terminals for the city of Viridian Bay. North Point was established as a major center for the Werewolf population where their traditional strength and resilience allowed them to work away in the tough conditions of both factory and mine. To this day many employers prefer werewolves over humans and vampires due to the lax safety laws and fines concerning werewolves in heavy industry. The pay in the area is relatively low, but for a werewolf the risks aren't necessarily that great as a broken appendage normally repairs itself within a day compared the lengthy recovery a human faces in similar accidents. Despite being a neighborhood inhabited mostly by "savage" werewolves, the crime rate has remained low in comparison to other spots in Viridian Bay. It is believed that exhaustion from work causes the savage impulses within a werewolf to dwindle to the point of complacency.

Southbridge(Lux Point): Southbridge used to be the largest terminal of incoming flights to Viridian Bay, however the establishment of McCullough International Airport has relegated Southbridge into only a secondary airport for smaller commercial and private aircraft. Southbridge was not always the glitzy and casino ridden area it is today and some subdivisions in Southbridge still reflect it's past. Southbridge was set up as the human counterpart to North Point, but after the Granadine Mine collapse the area lost much interest from outside industrial and material companies. In order to revitalize the Burrough, the City Council resolved to rebrand Southbridge as THE tourist destination for the West Coast. Hotels, casinos, and large commercial centers sprouted up along the bay's coast and along with the influx of money came wealthy entrepreneurs and their cohorts. After many years of construction Southbridge boasts a host of retail outlets, the 1st and 3rd largest casinos on the West Coast, and a large stadium that houses Viridian Bay's national sports teams. Wittaker Stadium boasts the incredible ability to cater to a variety of sports events ranging from baseball to hockey. Due to the new renovations and large amount of wealth congregated in Southbridge, many locals have begun to call it "Lux Point". A moniker that mocks North Point by proclaiming it as the much richer point of the city. Many vampires seeking easier callings chose to take residence in Southbridge, preferring working blackjack halls to digging for rocks all day.

Broad Bay: Broad Bay is the largest residential area of Viridian Bay and reaches into the cliffs that surround the bay itself. This area typically houses individuals who live in Upper Viridian Bay, but cannot afford the same style of housing found in the City's bureaucratic center. The unfortunate news about Broad Bay is that there is little to do in Broad Bay and many inhabitants tend to leave their domiciles during the day and afternoon in order to shop, have fun, or attend class. Many individuals in a lower income bracket live along dirt roads that lead into the cliffs, this arrangement causes some seclusion among Broad Bay inhabitants.

Mt. Kiran: Mt. Kiran was the established waste center of Viridian Bay and the local conditions reflect it. Many factories have set up to process the recycled material from the city into usable raw materials or into products for export. Mt. Kiran is still an area inhabited mostly by humans as the work isn't as strenuous as work in the mines nor as comfortable as work in the retail outlets and casinos found along the coastline. This Burrough sits around Mt. Kiran, a small mountain that overlooks Viridian Bay. The local workers often live in smaller houses off of dirt roads close to the dumps and recycling centers of the Burrough while some other humans typically live closer to the south of the Burrough in much nicer conditions. Many see Mt. Kiran as the definition of middle-class and the area lacks many retail outlets and attractions, but also maintains a quaint style of living for those who can afford to live in the Mt. Kiran South subdivision.

Upper Viridian Bay: Located East of North Point and West of Broad Bay, Upper Viridian Bay ranges from low to high incomes and boasts the greatest amount of diversity among Viridian Bay's Burroughs. This Burrough houses the city's government as well as much of the city's higher education centers and law enforcement agencies. The Viridian Bay PD offers an excellent partnership with the North American branch of the MRPD and it is not uncommon to see patrol cars for both agencies working alongside in order to keep the peace of the city.

Men for Mankind (MM).
Created by veterans of the First Revelation War and the Unity War, MM focuses on the destruction of non-human humanoids and their collaborators. The current leader of MM, Victor Garman age 110, was enlisted as a private during the Unity War but remembered the tales told by his father who had served honorably as the general of Human Resistance Coalition Forces during the First Revelation War. Most notably was the story of his father's Pyrrhic victory over the Alpha Grimlaw during the Battle of the Great Plains. The battle itself was a loss for human forces, but Edward Garman was able to kill the notorious Alpha, Grimlaw, during the firefight. Many MM attacks begin with a collection of individuals, a few phone calls, a loud battlecry of "Remember the Plains", and then an even louder outburst of gunfire. Most MM attacks are swift and typically last around 5 minutes, giving MM members enough time to evade responding officers.
Lore: Battle of the Great Plains
Human forces emboldened by the creation of combat ready exo-suits marched into werewolf territory within the United State's Great Plains region. Small skirmishes erupted and werewolf forces were no match for the combined tactics of the 1st and 2nd Exo-Armies. However, Grimlaw established a defensive perimeter around his people's strongholds in Nebraska and baited the 1st and 2nd Armies into attacking. The ensuing battle ended in a massacre of Human forces as werewolves attacked the formations from all sides, it is estimated that nearly 40% of the 1st Army was lost and 90% of the 2nd Army was lost during the fighting. Edward Garman commanded the 2nd Army as they held a corridor to allow the 1st Army to fall back, and upon seeing the catastrophic damage being dealt to his men went into a near berserk rage. What happened next is widely disputed as the general's exo-suit was heavily damaged during use and all internal recording systems were beyond repair, however everyone agrees that General Edward Garman not only defeated Grimlaw, but literally pulled Grimlaw's head from his body. Many years later the same fields sprout large amounts of red and blue flowers, many say it represents the blood and tears of those lost that day while others say that human remains make excellent fertilizer.

This injection has now become so commonplace that the average human lifespan is well above 80 years, of which 68 are normally healthy. Some individuals with larger incomes may be able to extend normal, healthy lifespans above 70 using more concentrated, and expensive, injections.
